Mark of an Alpha's Mate

Mark of an Alpha's Mate

I rolled my eyes. Isabel joined in the teasing. “Look over there!” Ruby pointed out. A bouquet of peonies just sat there. A small smile played on my lips. Isabel nudged me. “Peonies are your favorite” she grinned. “I know” I chuckled. I picked them up and brought them to my nose, inhaling their sweet yet spicy fragrance. Now I was definitely grinning. “Now do you see what I was saying?” Charisma chuckled. “Okay, so maybe Jace got me—”

CHASING HIS EX-WIFE: My ex-husband wants me-too late

CHASING HIS EX-WIFE: My ex-husband wants me-too late

she said carefully. "It's a text message," Jayda said. "I know it's a text message," Dess said. "I'm not planning a wedding. I'm saying that you responded honestly and that's good, that's you being present in something rather than managing it from the outside." Jayda looked at the flowers on the table, at the peonies that were past their fullest point now, beginning the slow beautiful process of opening so completely that the edges softened and the petals became almost translucent in the morning light, the specific loveliness of something that was not trying to hold itself together anymore.

Nine Ungrateful Sisters

Nine Ungrateful Sisters

They were the most vibrant flowers she had ever seen. She had wanted to set up her easel there and commit the scene to canvas, but Oscar always found an excuse to steer her away. He did it once, then again, and eventually she confronted him directly. In response, he had asked, "The land around the hill is rough and barren, with little vegetation growing nearby. Peonies, however, require rich, fertile soil to thrive. So why are they flourishing there?" At the time, Clara had still been in school. She had recently heard an old rumor that circulated among students: every hillside hid its share of unmarked graves. The thought had unsettled her enough that she dropped the matter entirely.

Second Bloom

Second Bloom

Valentina is aware of this with the whole surface of her attention and keeps her pace even and her expression interested, and her internal landscape carefully quiet. In the lobby, the crowd disperses. The natural end of the conference — people exchanging cards, making dinner plans, drifting toward the revolving doors in ones and twos. The melancholy of a professional gathering concluding, all that temporary intensity folding back into ordinary life. They stop near the window where they sat yesterday, the two abandoned chairs now occupied by a pair of women deep in conversation. There is a beat — the kind of beat that means: this is where it ends, or this is where it continues, and someone mu

it off," Kristine Caldwell explained with some embarrassment. "That may be me discussing something important with the Restoration, a slip of the tongue!" Tanner Garcia looked at the peony flower that had been cut off and only a lone peony flower was left in distress: "But even so, how can you say that you were a wealthy lady before, you should have your own judgment!" "It's all my fault, then I'll go to the flower market and buy you another one." Kristine Caldwell wanted to calm down: "You tell me the variety of flowers."

The Mafia Don's Innocent Love

The Mafia Don's Innocent Love

I asked. "They're peonies. Gorgeous, aren't they?" she replied. I nodded, utterly speechless. The flowers were a sight to behold, their vibrant hues mingling together in perfect harmony. A wide grin spread across my face, and a small giggle escaped my lips. "I can't believe he got me flowers again," I whispered.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

His heart suddenly clenched with pain. Persephone cherished the streets of Flinge, particularly the unknown little colorful and vibrant flowers blooming by the roadside. She claimed these flowers were never seen in Centrolis. After confirming they were unattended, she secretly plucked a bunch and turned them into dried flowers. Each day, she would beam at the flowers with a bright smile.

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

Second Marriage to Mr. Rich

Second Marriage to Mr. Rich

He asked, "Do you recognize this flower, or are you buying it for your daughter to play with? This flower is not easy to care for." Angeline responded honestly, "I only know it's a peony. It's not for the child to play with. It's for a family member. The elders at home love flowers, so I'm picking one as a gift." The elderly man confirmed, "This is a peony called 'Silver Petals', the most beautiful in the country. It wasn't easy for me to raise it." Angeline inquired politely, "Could you consider parting with it?" Yasmine reassured the old man with her chest puffed out, "Mister, this flower must be your treasure. Mrs. Lawson at our home is great with plants. I'll send you pictures of it regu

This book should have gotten a 10 rating instead of 8. It’s unique and very different from most stories that always gotten married for 3, 4 or 5 years and gotten divorced, with the female lead always waitingforthe male lead to come home and eat her prepared dinner only to be presented with a divorce

Two worlds that collide

Two worlds that collide

"We’ve decided on five thousand white peonies. Imported from France, of course. Julian felt that lilies were a bit too... funeral." Vivienne forced a soft, melodic laugh, the sound echoing off the marble tiles. "Peonies are perfect, Eleanor. They’re so much softer. I was actually thinking the same thing last night. I want the aisle to feel like walking on a cloud." Eleanor opened one eye, peering at Vivienne through the gap in her own facial wrap. "I’m pleased to see you’ve found your focus again, dear. After the... unpleasantness of last week, your father was quite concerned. But Julian tells me you’ve been an absolute angel since you returned home."

Accidental Surrogate For My Bestfriend's Brother

Accidental Surrogate For My Bestfriend's Brother

I don't know that yet, but I hope it doesn't turn out bad in the end. I consoled Arthur and played more with the kids till they slept off. I took them to their separate room and returned back to the living room. I started working on my laptop when the living room door was suddenly pushed open. I took my eyes away from my laptop, and Peony was standing in front of me with a smile. She was holding a red rose. Strange, right? I also felt it was. She walked to my side and placed a kiss on my cheek. Her strong cologne filled my nostrils, making me frown in disgust.
