Flowers For Algernon Novels & Stories

It was all too surreal. But William dismissed his idea. William said, “These flowers are all real, not fake. I have checked that the roots of the flowers and the little girl’s tendons have been connected together. “It’s amazing, isn’t it? Human veins being connected to the roots of plants. “These flowers form a kind of mutual existence with the little girl. I don’t know if she was born like this, or it was attained artificially. If it was attained artificially, I wonder how advanced the surgery was to keep the flowers and humans from dying at the same time.

Then , lady June smiled and welcomed me to their garden. Their garden was full of sunflowers , it's like a field in the villages with dragonflies surrounding it . Alana looked down at the yellow, pink and orange petals with their large brown centers and tried not to feel giddy or do something crazy like rush down to his office to tell him how much she loved them. It was such a warm bouquet of flowers, and she smiled as she read the note, “I didn’t know which kind you liked so I settled on this bunch of gerbera daisies because they reminded me of you.” If he was trying to make up for the roses he'd destroyed, then he certainly was headed in the right direction for forgiveness, Alana thought. “How did those flowers remind you of me?” She asked him later that night when he took her out to dinner.

The room fell silent as soon as he was gone. Better. Darian neatly folded his papers. "Your flowers." I looked. "My what?" "The flowers." Oh. Yes. Apparently, I was getting paid to keep the flowers alive. That was still unbelievable to me as a real job. "You're serious." "Very." I massaged my forehead. "Do all Alphas hire people to water flowers?" "No." "Then why do you?" His gray eyes locked with mine. "Because you're terrible at accepting help." I parted my lips.

Inside was a bouquet of pink peonies, my favourite flowers. “Wow. You never cease to amaze me.” I brought the flowers to my nose and inhaled their sweet fragrance. “Let’s go upstairs to your suite and drop them off.” Alonzo started towards the stairs. “No, Lon, wait.” I hurried after him. “We’ll keep them in the lounge downstairs. I’ll retrieve them later, okay?”

Raising the remote in his hand, he pressed a button and whispered, “My insanity.” Her body turned numb in disbelief. The screen instantly split into multiple panels. Every single panel displayed a different corner of her house. *****

He turned, expression perfectly flat, and walked away slowly with his hands clasped behind his back like an invigilator in an exam hall, and the corners of my mouth ached with the effort of not smiling. A truck backed up to the hall doors, grinding its gears, and a swarm of workers began to unload crates. Flowers. Hundreds and hundreds of them, peonies and ranunculus and sweet peas, spilling over the sides in great waves of pink and cream and violet. The first harvest from the farm in the third territory. Kael's gift, though neither of us had said so aloud. "Miss Seraphine, where should these go?" "Along the centre table, and up the staircase, and..." I reached for the nearest crate to check

Absurd. It fed on us. I froze. Fed on us. My eyes widened. The plants had to be connected. Not just mine sensing the others. All of them. Like plants in the real world. I needed to go back to every single patient and check... The flower is finally blooming. I repeated the words in my head. I knew that one. “Thank you, Carlos,” I told him. He blinked. “You see? You’re already helping.” “Okay...” he mumbled, clearly unsure what exactly he had done.

They had lot of flowers in the garden making it really colourful like it use to be in cartoons. They had roses, ixora, marigold, moon flower, jasmine, dehlia, daisy, lilies and so many other. This garden can even make her stay here a little longer if they've finally taken Derek down. It was like an encanto. Amelia bent down, putting her nose close to the the flowers, inhaling deeply. Her thoughts suddenly diverted to Sebastian. How would she help him. How would she make him bury the hate he has for humans?

I refuse to leave Charles and Gunner. I watched as it creeped toward us again. The flowers seemed to be working as the blackness dared not go past it. It went around Gunner and I, towards the trees. It was starting to cover the whole area and I knew I didn't have much time left with either of them. It dawned on me then that this was the missing piece to Charles' cure. This little flower had to be it, it had to be! I gave Gunner a light kiss on his head causing him to glow. His fur began to gain some of its color back and his breath was less labored than before.
