I could still see Elder Fane’s face in my mind. He did not look at me like a person. He looked at me like I was a piece of dirt on a clean floor. Sighing, I ducked into a small corner behind a tall statue. I needed to breathe. I pressed my back against the cold stone and closed my eyes. "I am just an Omega," I whispered to the empty air. I looked down at my hands. They were shaking.

The people started to clap, some started to shed tears and some looked quite emotional. As my eyes scan the large emotional crowd before me, my gaze landed on a group of people who stared coldly at me with a woman in their center. Not knowing why they were staring at me like that and not in the slightest bit concerned and affected by it, I smirked discreetly at them, enjoying the way their facial expressions morphed into shock at my blatant disregard and brashness towards them.

“You're an abysmal conversationalist, you know.” “I'm trying to scream for help, you idiot. Go screw... yourself... ack! STOP IT.” “Screw indeed.” He observed me like I was an experiment. I shivered uncontrollably, seeing multitudes of stars. He snapped his fingers, demanding my attention. But I, senseless, was beyond response. His face darkened: “Perhaps your neural circuitry is fried.” “You stopped.” I gasped. “Why? Wait- what am I doing!”

That didn't sound like a compliment, I kept my straight face. "You rarely smile." "And you stare a lot. Stop staring at me." "You look nervous. Are you scared of being watched or something?" I didn't expect that. "You should stop staring at me. It's not comfortable." "Why? Why are you not comfortable? Why shouldn't I stare?" "What are you even saying? " "Do you know why I'm staring at you?" I shook my head. "You look sick. Even your gait." "You're crazy!"I spat, already pissed.

’ Bringing my eyes back open, the loud music banging in my head like large drums, I faintly register a face staring at me as I gnash my teeth. “Z-Zara?”

) "So...sorry" I stammered out and looked away from him, with my reddish tomato face, but when I heard him chuckle out, I immediately looked back at his face, but yet again he murders it when he saw the little smile on my face, and it hurts me again, but...but I don't things to end like it had did earlier, nor do I freaking still want him to look away from me, so I do the most absurd thing I could ever think of "Am really sorry I was staring at you, it's just because I always have this bad headache that makes me behave like a creep sometimes"

“What is it?” I finally asked, unable to take it again. There was something that made me very uncomfortable and self conscious when I am being stared at, especially after I realize that I am indeed being stared at. Adam was still smiling. Garh. He stared at me more for about thirty seconds. He then opened his mouth, brought out his free hand that was not laced in my hands, to cover the side of his mouth. So I can concentrate more on what he was about to whisper.

I frown my eyebrows, turn my head to the side and analyse the man infront of me. "Little girl, it's rude to stare".

I said, my voice firm, "I’m not here to entertain you or be your subject of interest. If you have something to say, then say it. Otherwise, stop staring at me like I’m some kind of puzzle you need to solve." I watched as his smirk faltered for a moment, surprise flickering across his face. He recovered from it fast though. "I didn't know you have a problem with people staring considering, well, how I first knew you." His smirk was more creepy now; the sight of it makes my skin crawl. He won't get a reaction out of me though; I am a survivor, and I damn well won't let some pathetic fellow make me feel awful about what I have worked for.

“Well, now I feel stupid. My brain just short-circuited,” “Hey now,” Mr Stark sits up, cradling my face in his hands. “You’re the last person to ever be considered stupid, okay?” his voice is soft and gentle. I closed my eyes, leaning into his touch. “Don’t say that again, you hear me?” I hummed quietly. “You don’t even realise that you’re above me, do you?” I opened my eyes slowly, looking into his eyes. Even at night, they twinkle like a midnight blue sky full of stars.
