Beatrice Beecham's Ship of Shadows

Beatrice Beecham's Ship of Shadows

Agnes was barely able to keep the contents secured within the binding. “Giddy goodness, Agnes, that book doesn’t seem to want to come to our aid without a fight,” Maud said. “Happen so,” Agnes chuckled. “Maybe I should split the pages into a few volumes, but it just doesn’t seem right separating them. History belongs in one place.” “So what’s the story in these here pages?’ Maud said as Agnes turned the sheets, the act creating thick crinkling sounds about them. Agnes rubbed at her nose.

The Alpha's Desires

The Alpha's Desires

, l frowned when I failed to understand anything. Lastly l made my way back to the door ready to lesve but I didn't turn the knob instantly. A thought quickly popped up in my mind and within a few minutes, l walked back to the bookshelf. I quickly took one of the well-worn books from the shelf and opened it. I couldn't sneak the whole book , it was so huge. I just tore out some pages and neatly folded them then stuffed them into my blouse's front then ran towards the patio doors . I was now ready to escape again.

horrible grammar. no editing. story line is all over the place. can't really understand it. has the potential to be a great story if it was edited. seems like someone who either is not a native English speaker wrote this or a kid wrote this. don't waste your time or money!

All the Names She Wore

All the Names She Wore

Just enough to be useful if it reaches the right one. I fold those pages carefully, then I rip the rest with anger and grief. When the notebook is reduced to pieces, I carry them to the stove. I light the first corner. The flame catches quickly, hungry. The pages curl, blacken, become ash. I stand there until the last fragment disintegrates into gray dust. Then I wipe the stove clean. I always liked clean lines.

Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

She knew she was being recorded, so she conspicuously put the loose page back in the book she found it in. She walked the book down the hall, back towards the stack, went to a place where she knew there was a blind spot from the cameras, then quickly slipped the page out of the book and into a manila folder she had brought with her. She then put the book away, and slid the manila folder into her bag.

PREGNANT WITH THE ALPHA'S UNWANTED HEIR

Bastien says. "The record of the second child, the one who died at four, has pages missing," Ivy says. "Not lost pages. Removed pages. The binding shows where they were cut." She holds the book toward us so we can see the ragged inner edge where the pages once sat. Someone took them out deliberately. "When," I say.
