Someone was here. I glanced around and kept Toast following the tracks as I listened for any movement in the deserted city. We followed the tracks through several streets before they just disappeared. Toast stopped walking and we both looked around suspiciously for someone. It’s possible that the person that was here blinked in and back out of the city.

Celine followed the instructions in the map. 10 steps left. Touch the wall. Circle the big rock. 10 steps left. When she finished all the instructions she was back at her starting position. Did she do something wrong? Were her steps too big? Was it too small since it was Daniel who made the instructions? When she looked closely, she saw a small ‘X’ mark in a rock. Ignoring the filth, he reached into the pile of ash, still warm with residual magic, and dug frantically. His claws were stained black with charcoal, his nail beds filled with soot.
