I stood in the center of Malakai's pristine, minimalist kitchen, staring at the secure delivery chute built into the wall. Evangeline's Pov It started over food which was how most things started in the cafeteria and by the time I understood what was happening it had already gone from a shoving match to something bigger. I was sitting at my usual table with my tray when a woman two tables over threw her food at another woman, and that other woman threw it back, and then someone else got up and then someone else, and within about forty seconds it was not two people anymore. I pushed back from my table and stayed in my seat because the first rule of a fight you are not part of is to not become part of it.
