Forbidden Never Felt This Good
There was a brief moment where I thought she might go join, but instead she looked at me.
Just a look.
That was enough.
I followed her to the balcony.

The air outside was cool. The music filtered through the glass doors behind us, soft enough to feel distant.
She was standing at the railing when I stepped out.
She turned when she heard me.
“Dance with me,” she said.
“There is no dance floor here.”
“I know,” she said, holding out her hand. “I just want time with you.”
I took her hand.
We moved slowly, without structure, just following the music as it came through the doors. The city stretched out beyond the grounds, quiet and steady.
