You have until the next full moon to claim your Luna. If you do not, we will have no choice but to intervene.”

That finally made him glance at me again. “I know politics,” I continued quickly before he could interrupt. “I know territory management. Trade agreements. Resource allocation. I rebuilt Silver Claw farmland after the floods almost entirely by myself because—” “Get to the point.” The sharpness in his voice sliced clean through mine.
