When I open them again, Darren shakes his head at me, “They’re still Red—will that be a side effect of the power you used earlier?”

Chapter 11 Aurora’s POV I watched him from across the courtyard, broad shoulders closed in a crisp army suit, hands in pockets like he owned the cell. Fred. Loyal, handsome, and utterly predictable—but that predictability was exactly why I could bend him to my will. My heart beat faster than it should have; this wasn’t fear. This was control. I had learned early that I looked more like power, and Fred was my instrument. “Fred,” I called softly, drawing his attention. He rasped. "Forever?" A small meek voice reached his ears and his eyes widened to the size of saucers. She was awake. There were tears in her eyes as she stared at him with expectant orbs. His eyes softened as a smile tugged on his lips. He wiped her tears away. Before sealing the pledge for eternity. "Forever." He affirmed, voice raspy. His lips landed on hers as they sealed their oath. Forever it is. *** A week passed. Which was filled with their desperate need and hunger for each other.
