The Forgotten God
Am-Heh sucked in a breath, trying to give a weak smile of forgiveness as Isaac stiffened with remorse.
The haze is growing now, his thoughts sluggish and difficult to form. His wound hurts, but he’s growing slowly numb. He doesn’t have much time left, but he had held on, to say his last goodbyes, but a bitter part of him thinks, if he died, he would just come back again.
Some day.
"Do not waste time on me, Isaac," he whispered as soft fingers caressing his shoulder, looking into those warm brown eyes. "Your time is best spent on restoring what I caused."
