Violet I saw stars. It wasn’t an exaggeration, I really saw stars. The world went white as I fought for my life. My body shuddered. I wanted the pain to stop. I wanted the coldness from Dante and the hatred from Alex to disappear forever. But just as I took a step forward, two strong hands grabbed my waist and dragged me backward with a violent jerk.

Violet flashed a broad smile as Connor’s eyes met hers but his quick change of focus, made her sad. “No Violet. You are cold, you won’t let a man make you vulnerable.” She thought to herself. “But then, he ignored me.” She cried in her thoughts in total contradiction to what she had first thought about. Soon, everything was done, and they were set to go home. Violet’s mom displayed great affection as she began to cry profusely, holding on tight to Violet, not willing to let go. Even as her husband, Violet’s dad tried to separate the mother – daughter moment, she still held on tight to Violet that Violet began to choke.

Several times the poison hit Violet's wings causing injuries resembling burns. Violet just hid in the shadows until it was all over. After Kai's attacks subsided, Violet appeared and immediately attacked Kai in the eyes. Unlike his skin which was very hard, the eyes were very soft and open. "Ahhh... You damn lizard!" Kai was in pain while attacking Violet with his tail. .. "Violet!" I shouted while throwing the piece of Kai's skin that I had just cut off. After looking at me, Violet flapped her wings in the direction of Kai's tail attack. He intended to pit his strength again with her.

She whispered , the room grew quite not sure where she was going with this. She turned around, taking her shirt off using it to cover her boobs. I growled till I saw the bruises and dried blood on her shoulders. I couldn’t take it. I wanted to jump to her and lick her to heal her cuts and bruises. “Why are you bruised?” Violet gasped in surprise She turned around facing us again. “They aren’t bruises. But what I need to show you needs to be kept a secret.” She took a deep breath and before we knew it, wings came out of my mates back.

BAYNE’S POV I hated having my hands tied. I hated not doing anything for her and most of all, I fucking hated that she was going through so much hate. There were two sides of Violet. One she was the warrior, a fighter ready to take down the whole world and the second, was just a broken woman desperate for a soul healing. This part of her craved a heart to love her and I was glad that she was ours. I was glad she had three hearts to control and do with them however she wanted to.
