Fox Shifter Novels & Stories

I reached around Jennie grabbing the reins and gave Rain the signal to go. We're about half way there, in the foxes territory now. It's been a silent ride, but for some reason I feel comfortable in her silence. We're just about at the border now between the foxes and the unclaimed territory, when I felt something stalking us. I can't shift now, not yet. "Dakota do you feel that?" Dakota pushed forward. " I do and it doesn't feel friendly, Jennie can't know about us. Be ready to draw your bow".

As she embedded the knife there, she used her weight to push off her feet from his body, causing him to fall backward with a yelp. She jumped down to the second last pedestal and as expected, the sly fox shifter had come out. For the last seven weeks, he had helped her training and guided her in deception. On how sometimes the innocent could be one who has an agenda. He had been one of only a handful of fox shifters who were at the academy who were also versed in spells. He had shown her where she went wrong when training and how she lost her concentration. It was with him that she realised she was loud when she was meant to be

“Shit.” “I’ve got you,” Quin snaps, reaching out for my hand and pulling me along. I make the mistake of looking back to see the moment the wolves come to the edge of the decline. They start down, only for a moment before jumping into action. They slid and slid but even as they had to slow and dodge trees there still fast then is in their wolf forms. Quin suddenly veers sharper down the slope. “Shift,” she says. I blink. “What?” “Shift and run. You’ll be faster.” I hear the determination in her voice, and something about it unsettles me.

What got her worried was the car that was closely following her. “Those pesky humans,” she thought, “ always looking for who to rob”, not me. She decided to mislead them, so she took another road flanked on both sides by the thick forests. “They'll think twice before following into this dense bush" she increased the speed of her car and drove into an opening in the forest that was now dark but she could still see. Which is one of the many advantages of being a shifter. She looked through her rearview mirror and saw that the car was still following her.

I frown at her and she blinks. "But I'm not a wolf. I'm a fox," she mutters. "Yeah well, it turns out there are lots of different shifters in this world." A fun little nugget of information I learned thanks to Axel and his merry band of misfits. All shifters, all different animals. He has fucking weremonkies in his packs. and a were-elephant. Those two threw me through a loop when I saw them the first time. "Other foxes?" She asks.

“Oh, so your mother is gone. So, I was right. This was just an abandoned house. I guess I’ll have to teach you a lesson on behalf of your mother.” “You don’t know who you are talking to.” I know I’m not as strong as a full werewolf, but I can take this fox easily. My canines are already extended, and I extend my claws. My copper eyes glow as a double grey tail exposes itself. This is something foxes can de. We can partially shift better than wolves. This is the first time I have tried it with Kwan’s form. I think I’m getting the desired effect. “What… what are you?” The fox stubbles back. “You shouldn’t exist. You are unnatural.”

Who makes the mistake of snapping at Jaxon’s human form, only for him to shift, to snarl back at Knox. “Knock it off, both of you.” Josie growls out as she starts running through the gates, knowing Knox will be forced to break his conflict with our brother to follow her. “Come on…” I sigh out to Jaxon just before my own wolf surges forward, taking control of the shift. My bones crack as I am pushed back, the air around me shimmering, my wolf coming forward. He stretches his back out, his paws pushing into the ground beneath him as he lets the sandy soil spread into his touch senses.

He looked frantic. "Wait!" he hissed urgently, dropping to a crouch beside me. I smell great fox magic. We can't attack them now, at least, or enter the perimeter of their camp." "Fox magic?" I repeated, confused. "What do you mean?" "The were-foxes," Kieran explained breathlessly. "Werefoxes can take the appearance of anyone. They're shapeshifters more skilled than any werewolf. They can take the exact appearance of anyone, down to their scent. With this magic, they'll mimic you, your warriors, Kael, Tobias, creating chaos and confusion."

I tipped my chin up to meet the piercing gaze of Valentin. “This method of shifting is particularly successful in young wolves,” he said softly. “It forces your body to get used to the shift quicker and it forces the body to accept it quicker. It’s harsh but it works.” My chest was still heaving. “How many times to get it to work?” “Usually, I can get a wolf to max out at about ten shifts per minutes,” he tilted his head. “You got to five.”

I say. Kaelan arches his brows. "Not a wolf? What is she then?" "She is a fox shifter," I tell him. Kaelan nods. "Ah, I see. Well, there is nothing wrong with other kinds of shifters, Lucian. But foxes are very sly creatures; they can be quite dangerous if you don't watch out for them." He pats me on the shoulder reassuringly. "Just be careful when dealing with her; she might not have your best interests at heart."
