Dancing With Fate
As I began to pour, I felt a hand go over mine.
“Easy their killer, you don’t want the cup to be filled with foam,” a deep voice came from the person touching my hand, their other hand tipping my cup to avoid foam. I looked up to see a tall figure. It didn’t take long for me to realize who he was when his eyes flickered to his reptilian eyes back to his hazel ones. I jumped to see his eyes. “Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you,” he said, turning the valve off. “It’s Quinn, right?” I nodded, taking a sip of my beer. “I’m Fred. Sorry about the other day. I forgot how uneasy my other form is.”
