One soft click. The picture came out tasteful but teasing, enough to make him grin. She smiled, selected Darren’s name, hit send. Then tossed her phone onto the bed and poured herself a glass of cheap red wine. Next week, she'd have her bags packed, ready to head to Maysville, the small town she'd grown up in for Christmas. Her holiday plan was just perfect! Her playlist hummed to life; jazzy, lazy Christmas tunes filling the air. For the first time all day, her shoulders relaxed. She even started humming along, thinking about what tomorrow morning would look like. Morning pancakes, bad movies, Darren’s laugh…

My Christmas will be different then. “Mommy is waiting for you, baby. When you come out, we’ll cuddle not just every Christmas. We’ll do it every day. I’ll be your mother and your best friend. We’ll be the best duo in the world. When times are tough, they say sweets could help. I’ll buy a cake and we’ll share it together. And when it’s Christmas, I’ll also buy a giant Christmas tree for us. I’ll carry you and I’ll let you put on the star. It’ll be fun. I know because I’ve tried it before. Funny, right? That’s the only fun thing your mommy knows. But we could start from there and discover fun things together… right?”

I sat quietly, and turned to look at the tree with her. “I don’t want it to end.” Chastity whispered. “What?” I asked. “Christmas.” “It was a great day.” “It was the best Christmas I have ever had. For me, Christmas meant making huge meals for everyone I wasn’t allowed to share in. It meant listening as everyone else opened gifts, and had fun. Until Jax left for school he would give me a gift, and so did Luna Jane, but once they were gone those stopped.” “Chastity, I am so sorry.”

We've only been around each other a few hours and I already know you can't make Knox do anything he didn't want. I couldn't be too mad about it though. We did just meet and in his eyes I'm a complete idiot. I mean who asks a random person to be their boyfriend over Christmas? A crazy person that's who. Maybe I was. "You do realize coming home without a boyfriend isn't going to make the world end." Knox's deep, raspy voice brought my out of my thoughts. "You'd think so." I snorted. "Every christmas I've been the butt of the 'old-lady' joke in my family."

"What's so wrong with Christmas, Mr. Scrooge?" I take a swig of my beer, finishing the rest of the bottle, and shrug my shoulders. "There's nothing wrong with Christmas. I just looked at it differently I guess. When I was little, I was a weird kid. All my friends would be so excited for Christmas and they all told me how they stayed up late so that they could meet Santa, but not me. Nope, I stayed awake to try and capture the creep sneaking into my house once a year." As soon as I finish that sentence, a roar of laughter emits from all three of them.

𝟏𝟑 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 One of my fondest childhood memories during the Christmas season is the tradition of the elf. My parents used to tell me that Santa sent little helpers around the world to check if kids were being good or bad. If they behaved, the elf would leave a small gift, but if they were naughty, the elf would play tricks on them. These elves stayed in our house for almost all of December: during the day, they were lifeless dolls watching over us; at night, they came alive and acted. When I discovered none of it was true and it was my parents leaving the gifts or playing pranks, my heart broke. But I still remember the joy of those moments, which is why I played along when my pare

"More? You've already done so much." Callum smiled, reaching for yet another package—this one larger, rectangular, wrapped in gold paper. "This one's from a tradition in our family," he said, nodding to Oscar. "Our parents always gave us each a book on Christmas Eve, to read before bed." The package was heavy in my hands, and I opened it carefully to reveal a beautifully bound volume—a collection of winter tales from across our kingdom, illustrated with intricate drawings that seemed to shimmer on the page. "We thought we could read it together tonight," Oscar explained. "Start our own tradition of stories by the fire."

"A lot happened yesterday, which was why I couldn’t keep my promise. I’m so sorry I couldn’t put you to sleep last night." "I know you must have been busy, Miss Kathleen, and I'm not mad at you. Now if you'll excuse us, Chef Koko was reading me a story and I was enjoying it a lot." My mouth fell open in horror as I watched the five year old, little brat act exactly like my mother when she was mad. Okay…when did the two of them meet and swap souls? "The story is about Santa Claus and his deer. I wanted you to read the story for me, but Chef Koko saw me sitting here all alone, and offered to do it instead."

“What are you going to do anyway? Did Hunter mess up again.” "Anyway, just do what I say. I have to go." Snow fell from the sky among the sparkling lights of different colors and the eruption of various kinds of fireworks. It's Christmas. Everyone is happy celebrating Christmas and is waiting for morning to come to open the gifts that have been placed under the Christmas tree.

At the bottom of the frame a woman's hand rested on the waistband of his trousers, her position making it clear she was on her knees. The whole image just sat there saying everything it needed to say without a single word. Chloe and I looked at each other and we pressed it at the same time. “That's it.” “Yep! Absolutely it!” A message loaded and popped up in the home screen. Chloe read it out loud, slowly, in the voice she used when something was almost too much. "Your Christmas Fantasy is about to get dangerous. If you can resist the heat—" she stopped. Looked at me. "Come with your dripping pussy."
