Now it was an unspoken rule in the company because I wouldn't have it any other way. A text notification lit up the screen of my phone, snagging my attention away from the past, and I picked it up, quickly dialing the number of the agency Parker had just sent, and waited with bated breath as it rang. “You have reached The Xmas Xpress, Erika speaking. What can I do for you?” a feminine voice chirped in one breath with practiced professionalism. “Um, hello, I'd like to book a Santa Claus mascot,” I said, shifting on my feet.

Hey everyone, its the author I know we just came back from the holidays...but it isn't over yet I wrote a short story and guess what, you guys get to read it!! He replied as he looked away. " The Christmas Spirit does not entail you believing what your friends believe but it entails believing what you think is right. I never will force you to believe what you don't want to believe but I will tell you a story of a far away land. A land you never thought will ever exist. " A land where magic runs and where snow falls unceasingly. I will tell you how the winter season originated and why this land is so special. It is left for you to believe what you hear because I can never force you to believe what you do not want to believe.

"Well, get ready for a crash course then." "Christmas is a special time of the year," she explained, her voice filled with warmth. "It's a time when people come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It's a time of love, joy, and giving. We exchange gifts, spend time with loved ones, and spread kindness to others."

“And I just… write things sometimes… stupid stories…” “Stupid stories?” She nodded. “Silly things.” I tipped my head. “That’s what they are, are they? Silly things?” Another nod, and I raised an eyebrow. “Well, that really is a shame considering I’ve just abandoned my family Christmas to drive back across the country on the back of these silly stories.” She couldn’t gulp a breath quick enough. “I made the cat up,” I continued. “A silly story of my own under the circumstances, so I think that puts us on a par with the falsities, don’t you?”

“No, I don't believe in such things.” “The man we were supposed to meet for you couldn't come because his cat got into an accident, so tomorrow we will know if you meeting Mr stranger was fate or,” Clover took one bottle of alcohol from the bag, “Thanks, Goodnight,” she said and walked away to her room. I didn't know what tomorrow held, Zade and everyone we grew up with were going to be around for Christmas. How do I face the fact that Zade and I broke up? Will Christmas still be the same with everyone? I finished my alcohol and went to bed.

Just like that, I told him everything that was happening, excluding my one-night stand story. As predicted, he was furious. Just like Emily, he has never liked Josh for me. The call ended, but not without me letting him know not to let anyone know what happened. I quickly had my bath and changed into something more comfortable. Today is Christmas, and I will have a fun-filled evening. It dawned on me that I did not see any Christmas trees hanging around anywhere. Nothing feels like the season around here. Everywhere is quiet. I might as well shop for a Christmas tree with my best friend and light up the house.

—Ricardo was startled by his father's statement and must have understood that I had premeditated that night. ― I had said that I regretted dying without having the joy of seeing a grandchild born and Manuela revealed that she dreamed of having a child with Ricardo. That's why we made our requests to the Universe and it sent us more than two miracles, but three. My health and my two grandchildren. And now I want to make a toast to my Christmas miracles. Everyone raised their glasses. Alice and I had the fruit juice, but it had the same meaning as the champagne they all drank. Later, after the distribution of gifts, I asked Ric if he was disappointed in me and he replied:

Before I could figure out what was going on, a tall and slender woman approached Dylan and me. She locked arms with Dylan and shot me an irritated look, asking, "Who's this?" Dylan answered before I could even say a word, speaking in a tone that made it seem like we had coincidentally run into each other. "She's Blake's girlfriend. She came to look for him." The woman immediately dropped her guard and curiously gave me a once-over. She smiled sweetly and introduced herself as Trixie Ashford. She was Dylan's girlfriend, and she had returned to the country specifically to celebrate Christmas with him.

Lowering myself to her level, I held her shoulders gently and brushed a strand of hair from her face. “No,” I said softly. “No, honey. You just had a nightmare. That’s all.” She didn’t look convinced. “Mummy has no reason to hurt Daddy,” I added quickly. “I’ll be back soon. And guess what? We’re spending Christmas here with Grandma and Uncle Elliot.” Her face lit up instantly. “Yeah.” “I’m just going to get a few things for Christmas,” I said. “I’ll be back.” I turned away before she could ask anything else.
