Mom was working overtime though her company had new employees under Nolan's management. It had been a week since my friends left for camping and a part of me wished that I was with them. Then, it was also for the best because they would only have unwanted tension due because of me and Noah. I anticipated my friend's visit that evening as they were supposed to reach their homes in the morning. When it was past eight and no one showed up or called, I called Jennifer to discover that her father was fired from his job and all our three friends were thrown out from the football team.

My friends follow me as soon as they see me alone and we all walk to the bathroom that has a big line outside. “So? Is it today? Are you going to do it?” Jamie asks and I shake my head, passing my hand on my neck, trying to erase the feeling of Angelo’s lips on my neck. “No. I would never do it like this,” I say and Hannah nods but gets easily distracted when a guy she has been hooking up walks past her. “That’s my sign,” she says, winking at me and walking after him.
