ASTRA (flashback part 2) When I was a mere kid, back then when I wasn’t even in high school just yet, the bookstore is my favorite hangout place for so many reasons. I love reading! I love discovering new ideas! It is also my mother’s work place after she quit designing for a high end brand. But most importantly, there’s this particular type of reading material I always love to check out during my free time. A visual book. A magazine. In those pages, there are beautiful tall women wearing elegant clothes. They look mysterious and intimidating. My mother calls them a model. She then mentioned that she use to work with those kind of women before.

"Today we are only one subject. How about after this we go to the library?" Wherever we go, the main destination is the library. One thing that makes Hiery and I get along is that we both love reading books. No wonder other friends call us nerds. I don't mind. Whatever the people say. " I whisper to myself as I stand next to the checkout counter and swipe the books on the scanner before putting them in the cart . I whistle as I wait for the books to process the accepting procedure and clear them from the issuing card .

Arabella thought about how smart the owners or the place were. The girls at each station somehow made the ambience better than it should have felt. "Hello" Arabella said. "How can I help you?" "What services do you offer?" "You can rent books to read and return them after your time elapses like a normal Library. We also offer in-read services" the girl explained.

As I perused the books, I could feel Aidan’s gaze on me. The shop, much like the one downstairs, boasted an impressive selection. These were books to be enjoyed in the coffee lounge, not purchased or taken home. A smile tugged at my lips as I reached the romance novel section. So, Well Thumbed had these too. I wondered if they had hidden gems, perhaps something I hadn’t read or that Uncle Alex’s book club, Bound To Please, hadn’t discovered yet.

The group agreed, and the talk quickly flowed like a torrent, discussing literary topics, dissecting character motives, and delving into the profound emotions created by the written word. Week after week, Lucian and Ravena enthusiastically returned to the bookshop, developing long-lasting friendships with the members of the book club. They spoke about classic literature, modern fiction, and even philosophical ideas prompted by the works they read. Outside of book club sessions, Lucian and Ravena were frequently involved in lively debates about their newest works. They would settle up on their comfy couch, surrounded by a growing library of books, discussing ideas and discovering new views. T
