From Substitute To Queen Novels & Stories

Even the lycan prince can take more than half of us alone. Fear crept inside me at the mention of the infamous Alpha. He is to precede his father who was only going to step down on his throne as lycan king once his son gets married. They have been conquering lands, and to prevent being slayed and taken over, Alpha Hans traded a bride for a pact of peace among us. But Regina is about to ruin that now. “The wedding must continue. I just need a replacement for Regina.” Alpha Hans started looking around, as if searching for the replacement bride. I also started thinking about the unmated female elites in our pack. Maybe Freya will do? She’s the daughter of our pack healer.

“I’ve got you.” I stepped forward, facing the room. “Nice to meet you all. I’m Adrianna Conti—my father’s only daughter, and the rightful heir to the Conti name.” Then I walked toward Bianca. “How does it feel?” I asked quietly. Her eyes narrowed, but she said nothing. I took another step closer. “How does it feel, Bianca? To have someone you trusted turn their back on you… and call you disposable?” Her lips parted. “You—this is your doing, isn’t it? What did you say to make Papa believe a disgusting orphan like you—”

But right now, the caption read, "Elena Nightbloom consorts with a Rogue. A defiled werewolf is unfit to be Luna Queen!" The thousands of werewolves in the audience instantly fell deathly silent before suddenly erupting into deafening roars. "Traitor!" "Shameless she-wolf!" "Such filth doesn't deserve to be our Luna Queen!" Lucas, dressed in the Alpha King's robes, looked down at me from his elevated position. "Everyone, while Elena Nightbloom is my fated mate, I cannot accept a tainted she-wolf as the Luna Queen. "For the honor of the Silvermoon Kingdom, I officially declare that I reject the bond with Elena Nightbloom and strip her of all titles!"

The crowd, filled with reverence and loyalty, bowed their heads in acknowledgment of Capo’s words. “My dear people,” Capo began, his voice resonating with authority, “I have always believed that our strength as a family comes from the women in our lives. While my beloved wife may have tragically departed, fate has blessed us with a new queen. Margarita, the protectress of our legacy. I entrust her to your care, to be shielded and cherished as you would protect your king.”

But that damn curiosity of his was hard to suppress. “By the way, President, Queen Corp has been going through some changes lately. Vice President Queen has been demoted to logistics manager, and Miss Queen has solidified her position as CEO. She’s already started patching up the vulnerabilities from earlier,” Kin said, steering the conversation. The mention of Hazel immediately caught Damon’s attention. “Logistics manager? Hazel really knows how to get things done. In such a short time, she’s pushed her rival down to that level,” Damon remarked with a faint smile.

Him? “Not ‘king,’” Anton breathed. The pieces snapped together with awful, perfect symmetry. Marcus’s obsession, his endless, pathetic game. “He didn’t see himself as the king. He was the other piece. The one that moves in straight lines, that attacks from the side. The one that can become anything if it reaches the end.” He stepped up to the panel, his voice clear and steady, speaking directly into the microphone. “The key is ‘Queen.’” For a second, nothing. The countdown reached 00:00:07.

"Might I inquire as to your name, and why do you address me as 'your highness'?" The assistants exchanged a glance. Four individuals were present within the confines of the space. "My name is Joanne Inciong, Your Highness. We address you formally, for you are the beloved of the King. You," she said, her voice low and reverent, "are the Queen of the Vampires." Emaline gasped, her throat constricting as she struggled to swallow her own saliva upon hearing the assistant's words. The young girl lay motionless in her bed, unable to shift her position. The world around her ceased its dizzying rotation.

I look to one side of me and then the other as the Alphas that came with me all step forward and shift. “You see, a King must prove himself worthy of the King of Alpha’s position. The same goes for the Queen of Alpha’s unless she is the King’s true mate. So for you to become Queen, you must get me to step down, which will make Stella’s place as Queen null and void. However, you would then need to convince these fine powerful Alphas standing here in front of you that you deserve to take my place as their ruler..."

"I love you, My little female, please say you'll be my queen?" My eyes go wide as he continues. "Be my queen baby, Queen Megan of Altundral, my mate, my forever my everything, please say you'll be my Queen?" I smile as I think to myself me a Queen who'd have thought that!

Sebastian says warmly, and I smile at how easily he remembered her name. “In her sweet mind, being bonded to the future King made me Queen in her eyes, and I think she had a good idea.” “Queen has always meant a FEMALE sovereign though, and last I checked, you’re not a woman,” he argues. “Queen also used to be used as a word for prostitutes, but I’m not a prostitute either,” I counter. “Wait, what?” He shrieks in surprise.
