Chris flinched as he suddenly felt intense pain on his left wrist. He checked his wrist and an image started to etch on his skin. It felt like his skin is being seared, it continued for over a minute but Chris bore the pain. The pain stopped as soon as the image is completed. Image of a crown. "The contract has been completed." The demon gladly announced. Chris stared at the demon, "State your name demon." The demon laughed, completely delighted and amused with what is happening. “My name is Damien.”

This was where the demon would attempt its final ascension, seizing complete control over Alex's body and soul. Without wasting a moment, Mia and Heartman began the ancient chants, their voices harmonizing with an ethereal resonance that filled the chamber. The words reverberated through the air, a powerful incantation designed to weaken the demon's grip and dismantle the altar. She was breathing heavily as she said the prayers.

The demon proceeded with an indissoluble rope, which, according to him, was probably fit to capture the king of hell, and then what had to happen had happened. Alexander’s standing was his weakest phase, where he brought his devil to the zenith to crush the outnumbered demons if they stopped him from reaching Bella. The demon was forcefully stopped by an invisible levitation, sank to his knees, and fell to the ground. The pain was crushing his bones, could be heard, his scales slowly scorching as his eyes looked at Alexander in terror, knowing his end had come.

Abruptly, they came to a stop in an open field, the sight before making them gasp loudly. "ACE!!" Stefan shrieked, zipping toward his mate, imprisoned with Xavier's fingers fastened tightly around his neck, the Gamma's feet barely touching the ground while his face slowly lost traces of blood but before he could get near, an invisible force struck him on the chest, making him soar against a tree that fell over. Xavier...no, that wasn't Xavier, this was the demon that had been trapped inside of him for so many years. Jett peered in horror at the lifeless bodies that surrounded the demon on the forest floor.

The man fell to the ground, screaming in pain while Ares just rolled his eyes and threw the eyeball on the ground and stomped on it because squatting in front of the man. He grabbed the man by the hair and lifted his head up so they were eye leveled. “I told you I don’t do second chances but you are someone I’ve known for so long so I don’t want to kill you off just like that but if you don’t find a way to get me rid of this demon the next time we meet, I won’t just be taking away your other eye but also your life. Got that?” He pushed the man to the ground as he stood up then turned to Cornelius with a groan.

The more distance I had, the better I could prepare for his attacks. Devere righted himself and began to hover. I used Reggie’s glamour to make him think he was seeing me hovering as well. While he was distracted, I called a demon down to take Ford to the dragons. The bleeding was severe and he wasn’t healing. The demon flew away, as I felt an arm slip around my neck.
