There was nothing like 'keep my food or keep my chair for me' when you come back you seat will disappear. The place was full but neat. That was a trait of the Frosties, they knew how to keep their places clean. Dera stared at the food wierdly... It was fried rice with chicken and salad with yogurt. She saw how the others were eating without hesitation and then she gathered herself to ask.

Fort Vermillion is a small town near the Northwest Territories. The latest numbers show the tiny town has one hundred residents even. It's easy to forget that it exists. People will remember Fort Vermillion now. The residents are besieged by cannibal dog people called Adlets. They blew into town with their flesh golems called Tupilaq and mounted ferocious wolf /bear hybrids called Waheela. The untested crew of the Scald Crow is on their way to meet them.

Fiona has been practicing relentlessly to get down her new transformations. She is absolutely determined to be able to transform into more than one animal at the same time. The results have at times been entertaining as we watch some of her ideas go wrong. At one point, she tried to transform into a fish with feathers similar to a penguins but that did not turn out well at all. Instead, she ended up sinking to the bottom of the lake as the water began dragging on her feathers and pulling them down since they were not waterproof like a penguins really are. The Ice Palace was quite large and stretched as far as the eyes could see. Large walls and defensive pillars reached the clouds. Countless Frost Birds made a perch throughout the various openings. Water droplets circling around the wings but never freezing. In the most central Pillar that was also the highest, a creature started stirring. Not the largest or the oldest of the Frost Birds but the strongest woke from its slumber. *Shine!* Basking the entire upper area in a blue light, the Frost Bird changed into the form of a human male. Pale white skin of ivory, with clear blue eyes.

Three times. Then I tossed the phone on the couch and scrubbed my hands through my hair. I needed to move. To do something. Anything. Because waiting in silence? That wasn’t peace. It was purgatory. She knew about their life cycles, the way they cared for their eggs, the sacrifices that the daddy penguin made, sitting there to warm up their beloved and loved child, and how the mummy penguin left to go hunt in the ocean for food, storing it all away and making sure that it was all ready for her newly born baby.

We stopped just above the pile of snow and dismounted from our vehicles. “What do you think?” Trei asked us as we continued to stare at the huge ice pillar in the middle of the frozen water. “What is this about?” Byron asked. “I mean, it’s cool and all but..- PENGUINS!” Byron suddenly scream and bolted down the slope to head for one corner of the frozen lake where a small group of penguins was gathering. Upon seeing Byron, the penguins immediately scattered. A few of them wandered to the ice, where Byron followed them. My twin lets out a yelp when he slipped on the ice and fell on his butt.

As she poked one egg with a stick, she popped it into her mouth, and then the sweet-and-sour flavor of the egg coated the inside of her mouth.
