FROZEN LINES
"Stop. You’re… my self-control is on thin ice. If you don't back off right now, I’m going to do something we can’t take back."
A slow, dark heat coiled in my gut. I didn't pull away. Instead, I leaned in until my lips were brushing the shell of his ear, my weight heavy and deliberate against him. I could feel the frantic thud of his heart through his chest, a rhythm I wanted to own.
"Thin ice?" I murmured, my voice a low, dangerous vibration. I let my hand slide down from his shoulder, tracing the line of his throat before pressing my palm flat against the centre of his chest. "Then let it break, Caleb."
