“How are you holding up?”
Elias took a slow sip, the warmth spreading through his chest like a small comfort. “Like shit. But I’ll be fine.”
Elara studied him for a second, then grinned. “Yeah, you will. Because we’re going to the rink tonight and I’m driving.”
Elias’s eyes widened, a wild spark lighting up in them for the first time in days. “Wait, seriously?”
“Seriously,” Elara said, sipping her own hot chocolate. “You’ve been cooped up here long enough. Qualifiers are next weekend. If you’re going to fight for this, we start tonight. Light stuff only. No heroics.”
