The mafia’s captive

The mafia’s captive

Her pen scratched across the page: “I am Cassie Blackwood. Once captive. Now free. I was broken, burned, nearly buried—but I bloomed. Love found me in the fire. It gave me a son of stars, brothers of prophecy, and a husband born of war who built me a home. I survived. We all did. And if the darkness ever returns… we will rise again. We are the Thorned Circle. And we are eternal.” Somewhere… far, far away… A little girl with golden eyes whispered into a stone. “He’s alive, isn’t he?”

Beneath the Winter Moon

Beneath the Winter Moon

Cars coasted through puddles left by an earlier drizzle, and storefront lights spilled out onto the sidewalks like amber veins. Celeste stepped out of the corner bookstore, her arms full with a new read and a warm drink. Her charm bounced softly at the end of her bag, catching a glint of neon light as she turned down the next block. She kept her head low, her pace casual. The crowd helped her disappear. That was part of why she liked it here—being no one in particular. Across the street, a black car pulled up and slowed to a stop in front of a private entrance only a few knew existed.

Once Upon a Full Moon

Once Upon a Full Moon

It will be better for the both of us. The problem remains the same as ever. My guards. There’s no escaping them, unless I try to jump out of my bedroom window, and it’s a long a drop. The fall could kill me even now that my wolf awakened and can heal my human body. At long last we reach the library. The place is vast, rows upon rows of books as far as the eye can see, and nearly devoid of life. Here and there is a young wolf sitting at a desk with a book open in front of them, some of them even making notes on pads of paper. “Do you have a school here?”

This is a good book. Good story line but a note for the author. You need to work on emotions… make me feel what’s going on.. how they are feeling. You are one of the better authors I’ve read on this platform just need more depth to the characters

I really enjoyed this book - it’s like unraveling a series of presents - the story telling is amazing, the FL and ML are both strong, intelligent and - a rarity in most of this kind of novels - communicate to each other! No unnecessary drama, no drawing on - congratulations to the author!

Light & Darkness: Book 1

Light & Darkness: Book 1

For now, she didn't even want to wonder what would happen if aunt Margareth finds out about her feelings. Selene stretched first, then slowly dragged herself off the bed, her eyes immediately fixed on the Book of Magic that was lying down on the desk, the one she had gotten from aunt Meredith yesterday. Selene took it gently in her hands and sat on the edge of the bed, setting the bulky volume on her lap, and flipped through the book several times. Afer the fourth time she stopped at a page that showed a portrait of a man with ebony, half-length hair, in a long black coat... The face itself seemed familiar at once, but when Selene saw his eyes - dark and captivating like two black holes, she

Bloody Full Moon

Bloody Full Moon

Laura - At home I find myself lying on a bed of black velvet inside an empty room with no windows or doors. The walls are lined floor-to-ceiling with bookshelves, each filled from top to bottom. The books are all different sizes and shapes, but they all have the same purpose: to fill the emptiness inside me. “Because I’m hollow on the inside,” I whisper to myself. Under the blanket next to me, there is a figure wrapped in the same black velvet. I reach out and remove the cover, revealing an old man. His skin is wrinkled and pale, and his hair is entirely white. He looks as if he is sleeping.

THE LEGEND OF ALVAH

THE LEGEND OF ALVAH

She’s almost done, two more books before she could truly say she’s finished the task given to her. When the final page of the current book was done, she heaved a happy sigh as she turned to the next book. This one is thicker than the usual book she has read. It’s also bigger yet majestically intrinsic from the cover to the edges of each page. In the cover was a circular artifact that looked like a knob. Her curiosity once again got the best of her. She tried to turn it around, hoping that she could miraculously make it work. In an instant, she felt a quick prick against her palm that she jounced at the feeling of a single droplet getting out of her palm. The drop of blood soon found it’s way

A New Beginning

A New Beginning

“Wow, I didn’t expect you to be so young! I thought tech experts were usually older.” I smiled faintly but didn’t bother to explain. His energy and straightforwardness reminded me of my college self—the old version of me who was once full of passion and ambition. When we got to the parking lot, my phone finally caught a signal. The moment it powered on, it buzzed nonstop. I glanced down. My entire screen was filled with messages from James. Without opening a single one, I calmly deleted them all. Liam placed my luggage in the trunk, then looked back at me with a smile. “Miss Griffin, that’s a lot of calls. Do you want me to wait while you reply to them?”

Under the Full Moon

But the colors that used was spectacular. "Are you asking about the painting's name?" The tour guide asked. I nodded while still staring at the painting. The painting has a color gray circle whirls in the middle and below that whirls is a confusing shape with different colors. The painter is amazing. "It's called 'the full moon'," I blinked twice. My brows furrowed while still processing the title. Full moon? There's no moon here. "Are you wondering where's the moon here?" She asked once again. I turn to her and she smiled and then she pointed the gray circle whirls in the middle.

The Rise, The last Queen

The Rise, The last Queen

Her back was pressed against the wall and fell to the floor. Hana leaned into Zeci to get up. She walked around the book to figure out how to get it out. Suddenly Zeci said, "Use your blood to break the protective circle," "Are you sure?" Hana asked. "I think so." Zeci replied. Hana rubbed her fingertips to let the blood flow, then dropped drop by drop into the protective circle. Strangely enough, the red circle faded and slowly disappeared. The book was still floating in the air, Hana reached out to take it, and involuntarily Hana's bleeding fingertips touched the book's cover. When Hana took it, the book obediently rested in her hand.
