“Then maybe that’s your answer.” Later that night, Ryan stood by his window. The streetlights blurred in the distance. His inbox pinged again a reply from L. Tansey, offering a call. He didn’t answer yet. Instead, he opened a blank page. And he typed: “A Story That Doesn’t Belong To You” by Ryan Calloway He stared at the title for a long moment. Then under it, he wrote: “This isn’t a story about revenge. It’s about reclaiming.” Two weeks later.

“Holy shit, you actually believe that folklore crap? Missing people? Probably just idiots who got lost or ran off with their side pieces.” Julie reached back and squeezed my knee, her touch lingering. “Relax, Doris. We’re four strong, healthy young adults. Nothing’s going to happen. We’ll look out for each other. Besides…” She leaned closer, breath warm against my ear. “It’s more exciting this way, don’t you think? A little danger makes everything hotter.” Tyler smirked, his hand resting casually on my thigh now. “Yeah. Live a little, book girl. Or are you scared a big bad monster is going to come eat you?”

Some stories started with hate. This one ended with everything.

she asked, clearly bracing for the worst. “Yes,” I said. “But later. As a treat.” Naomi groaned theatrically. “You lied,” she hissed. “We’ll start with stories,” I said. “Real ones. Some might be scary in parts. Some might be sad. But we’re telling them so you know where you come from. So no one can tell you lies and make you afraid on purpose.” I took a breath. “Who’s heard of the curse?” I asked. Almost every hand went up.

And another, Kaydrian Blackstone, chimed in, “Yeah. I’ll definitely come to school and pay rapt attention every day if your unclad body were the subject to be discussed. One of the girls stopped pretending to cover her eyes. “Yeah, I second that. Because that’s a delicious subject,” she gulped, her heated gaze on him. “Imagine him working at a dying restaurant, wearing nothing but a red hellakitty apron.” “Damn. Such a rich imagination. His ass will surely bring in the bills. And the ladies,” “Add the men as well. Coz I don’t mind eating trashy food, as long as my eyes are well-fed by Sean.”

I sold that nightmare-filled house and used the remaining money to open a small bookstore, specializing in books on women's self-defense and legal aid. Cara quit her job to help me. We weren't rich, but life was peaceful. Sometimes, ladies would come into the store and cry. I'd pour them a cup of tea, just as Cara did for me. And despite what I lost, my life wasn't empty. I eventually adopted a two-year-old girl with eyes as bright as the stars. I named her Hope. I wanted her to know to never lose hope. The evil would always be punished. My nightmare was over. Destiny had collected every debt owed to me, down to the last cent.

The above sentences are the thoughts of the author about what he thinks, but it is my duty to tell all the things he has in his mind. The space science and the beginning of the human era, why I always talk about the past, why I'm interested in the dead stories, why I tell a tale of another time, why I don't like the present and, also why I'm not narrating about those dumbasses who were about to close the mysterious case of random killing by an unidentified criminal (creature)? You might have so many questions and confusions about the fact that I puzzle a simple story in what we call a Riddle…? But you can still believe in me that I'll give you a gift tomorrow.

Short terrifying stories that leave you insomnolent . . . definitely a must read to while away time and get sleepless with fear, hahaha. I don't own any of this stories.
