“What else do you want to know?” “I only skimmed it,” she told him. “And it didn't have your favorite food. Or color. Or what you like to do on a Saturday night.” He chuckled. “Pizza, blue, and, you can't tell anyone this, but on Saturdays, I put on a special suit and fight crime.” “You're Batman?” Mia made sure to put enough awe into her voice and widen her eyes like she was surprised. “I'm Batman,” Carter said, his voice going low and gravely. Suddenly, faced with this upright, solemn Batman, she found herself entertaining some wicked thoughts. Wendy lifted her head, her large, innocent eyes glistening with purity. The man’s lips were pressed into a thin line, his jaw tight, as if he wouldn’t be easily tempted. In the crowded dance floor, the beautiful Chinese girl in a form-fitting qipao gently swayed her graceful figure, her slender, pale arm brushing against the man’s robust chest. The thin spandex of the standard Batman costume clung to his warm skin—the muscles were undoubtedly real.

Juliet is wearing a red Harley Quinn bikini and some black ripped cut-off shorts. Juliet is a huge fan of Batman and DC Comics. Every year she drags us to Comic-Con and makes us dress like superheroes. It’s surprisingly fun.

I shook off that thought and focused on the conversation. I groaned. "Oh god, I hate costumes. I'm terrible at coming up with ideas." Alex grinned. "Don't worry, I've got you covered.
