AVA'S POV “Fuck! This is just insane! Totally absurd!” I exclaimed, losing my cool alongside my regal poise. All I had wanted was to be reborn a vampire queen, maybe reset the time to when I had met Rowan or alter the course of events. But I got everything I never wanted, the moon goddess reducing me to a totally helpless and feeble freak, who couldn't even heal my own wounds. “What kind of sick Joke is this?” I muttered, seething with confusion.

Chassy, refusing to succumb to Drake's provocations, retorted with a snarl, "We will never yield to the likes of you. Our strength lies in unity, and the moon goddess watches over us." I touched the tube in my arm and the blood bag in my hand.

Clara quickly described her to the slaves in that unit, peering from one slave to the other. “So her name is Monalisa,” Gabby said in a low tone, stepping forward. “Have you met her?” Clara asked, her brows raised a little as she peered hopefully into Gabby’s face. “Yes, but she has just been taken by Vince, one of the vampires,” Gabby reported in a low tone so that she would not attract punishment to herself. She is only nineteen, and had spent six months in viper city and also still has hope of getting out of here.
