Luka was sweating, his Alpha aura flickering nervously as he tried to maintain the illusion of a happy home. I sat there, watching the empty doorway. The war between Abby and me for the Luna position was no longer a cold war; it was heating up. But as I sat there, my mind drifted away from Abby. I kept thinking about the woman Jake had told me on the phone. Giada. If Abby was the one in Luka's bed, who was this Giada? Was she the one in his bank accounts? I realized then that while I was fighting Abby for my Luna title, another woman might be stealing my money away.

I looked at Gerald with an angry look. "Then it must be them. They want to let us know that they are not going to stop until they achieve what they have in mind. But they don't know us enough. We are survivors and we are protected under our sweet Goddess Leto." I looked at Luka and saw that he was still holding the bowl not saying anything. He looked angry and upset. His eyes turned red and started to growl breaking the bowl of poisoned berries between his hands. He stood up looking at us.

I asked, my mind reeling with confusion and disbelief at the revelation. "Yes and no," Lupa replied cryptically, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. As her hand on my cheek began to warm, I instinctively tried to step back, but to my horror, I found myself frozen in place, unable to move. "What are you doing?" I shouted, panic rising within me as I struggled against the invisible force holding me in place. "Giving your future the last of my light. Good luck, Kiera," Lupa's whispered words surrounded me, and suddenly, an unbearable heat began to build in my face, spreading through my body like wildfire.

Luka transformed back to his human form and started climbing the cliff. Luka reached the top to find her almost passing out, but she snapped her eyes open when she saw him. It was as if the time stood still just for the two of them. Her light gray eyes were swirling with emotions. She was surprised and stood in an attacking position, not willing to trust him. 'Something was off,' Luka pondered. He was not able to sense her wolf. Though he could feel her presence, she was clearly his mate, but she seemed to be having a hard time trying to realize it. Her face scrunched in confusion and she took out her dagger ready to attack him.

He sneered, his voice dripping with malice. “Your worst nightmare.” Lupa’s eyes narrowed. “What do you want with me?” “I want you and the rest of your kind dead,” he growled, his claws extending. Lupa set her jaw, determination in her eyes. “I have many plans in my life but dying is definitely not part of them. Sorry.” With that, he lunged at her, claws slashing through the air. Luna raised her brow at me almost accusingly. “I didn’t know you have a girlfriend.” Luna’s face shouts disappointment. She crossed her arms on her chest like a damn kid, her nose turning red which always happens when she’s annoyed. “I’m actually shipping you two. But still, I’m Team AkiRoux.” I leaned on the table and messed on her face using my hand, smearing her mascara and lipstick. Lucas slapped my hand away but laughed at his girlfriend’s face. Funny part about Luka and Aurora was that everyone knew they liked one another, the pair would play around together, kiss, spend hours together.
