I wanted them to be afraid. ​"NOW!" I roared. ​Down in the streets, a dozen explosions went off at once. The rebels had planted thermite charges on the perimeter fences. Smoke and fire filled the air, and the sirens began to wail. ​The guards at the base of the Spire scrambled to respond. Two "Beast-Slayer" drones—giant, spider-like machines with red laser eyes—crawled down the side of the Government House, their metal legs clanging on the stone.

The linguistic scholar died. Before we could even reach the secondary stairwell, the massive, tinted glass windows of the living room shattered inward. A hail of high-velocity tactical rounds tore through the air, punching violent holes into the dark velvet couches and marble walls. Three heavily armed mercenaries, clad in matte-black tactical gear and Vance syndicate insignias, breached the shattered ledge using high-tension ziplines from an adjacent rooftop. Malakai returned fire instantly, his sidearm barking three times in rapid succession. The lead mercenary dropped hard against the broken glass, a tight cluster of crimson blooming across his chest.

Immediately, a few Gamma wolves walked over and began dragging the rogue away. “I didn’t do anything! I swear—I’m serious!” he screamed, but the Gammas didn’t say a word, only kept dragging him along. “Please! Don’t kill me!” he cried again, glancing back with pleading eyes. But they all froze the instant they met Snow’s gaze, pure horror. He turned his head forward instantly, no longer muttering a word. Kai noticed his reaction and shifted his focus to Snow. The Death Glare. What a terrifying Luna-to-be.

"I was created to be a cindercloak warrior, master. My power comes from fire and metal, and I fight with weapons that I create myself." He held out his right hand, and Lynn watched in fascination as flames began to dance across his palm. But these weren't ordinary flames. They were a deep red color that seemed to have flecks of gold running through them, and they gave off a heat that she could feel from several feet away. "My fire is not like normal fire," Legion explained as the flames grew larger and brighter. "It burns hotter and it can melt through almost any metal or stone. I can throw these flames at enemies, or I can use them to forge weapons in the middle of battle."

The evil who can go to any length to destroy her prey. Aside from Camila, I also have the terrible Freya who wants the same thing as Camila. These two are ready to take me off the surface of the earth if I don’t stay away from their supposed man. I might have survived this, but not sure if I will survive the next time they strike. “You don’t look like a Rogue, so why are you here?” Lena reaches for the first bandage on my face and takes it off. "I've read something in one of my books. There are so many civilians who died, because of the love between two people. It was taken from real life, but they changed the name of the place and the people." "Are you referring to the Legend of the Moon?" Arayan asked. "Legend? You mean it's not true?" "How can you say it's not true? You are the proof," Arayan replied with a smile.

~DAISY~ After the movie, I kept arguing with Bryan as we drove home. It was to 10pm already but we were raising our voices as if it was morning. I did all I could to avoid Dave after the movie; and fortunately I escaped. "Am so annoyed with Franco. He was suppose to live but go carried away by a girl. How pathetic." I spoke and crossed my hands reminiscing on the film. "Franco was the main character, he was suppose to survive in the jungle game but fell for a stranger and she ended up making him die."

Natalia's Pov. ~FLASHBACK 2YRS AGO: DAY OF THE GATHERING~ She was done crying and howling in the garden. The night had not even started and she was already having a terrible time, she laughed in agony, the tears trickling from her eye to her beautiful gold gown.

he yells against my lips. Before I can answer, he yanks the truck door open and throws me inside. My head spins as the drones unleash a hail of bullets. Through the closing door, I see Gideon standing tall in the storm of gunfire. His tattoo blazes like a beacon in the smoke from the explosion, painting his face with sharp flickering light. Regina’s dangerous and loud laugh echoes through the darkness. It vibrates deep in my bones as if she’s beside me. “I arrived at the right time.”
