What are the two of you talking about?” “Jarren being whipped and Leonard Daring.” Garret hissed. “What is Leonard up to now?”

As if he’d been expecting it. I threw my cigarette on the floor, ignoring the way goosebumps scattered across my skin in irritation. “We need to talk about Carl and what he’s doing.” I said lowly, gaining satisfaction from using my boot to crush the cigarette that was still lit. Steve raised an eyebrow, his sea green eyes dancing with amusement “What he’s doing? Or what you’re doing?” He asked, unsure. “You’ve been tiptoeing around this for a while now, Xavier. Haven’t you?”

Steven barked, throwing a punch. He didn't even get close. Xander kicked him down like it was nothing. Cold. Precise. "Steven Garrett," he said, voice like ice, "who gave you the guts to touch my wife?" Everyone thought Xander was some buttoned-up gentleman. But I knew better—underneath that charm was pure steel. Steven staggered up, holding his side, and turned the phone camera on Xander. "This guy? He's my wife's lover! Looks fancy, but he's just trash!"

But it seems that it was just a trick! Garrett almost lost it. He said bitterly, "Please don't take what I said to you to heart. Also, please don't tell Ms. Y about it. We will still recognize her as your wife." Stephen reached out to pat Garrett on the shoulder. "You did well just now. I'm really happy." Garrett was perplexed. What the hell did Stephen mean? Had he intentionally become part of Stephen's plan? How rude of Stephen to shove their love into his sad, single, middle-aged face!

Xavier looked confused. “As your friends keep saying,” Garret said. “That guy is dead. I knew you were sorry before you died. I’m happy to see you doing so well. The last time I saw you, you were in bad shape.”

His tone is so tight with worry. They take a moment to survey as their nerve-wracking glares make my stomach rumble. The taller officer steps forward in a slow menacing way, his eyes trailing through Joe before finally locking on me. "My name is Officer George! And I suppose you are Belladine Montana if I am not mistaken?" He asks, the calmness in his voice outdone by the command he exudes.

The Beta let go again, smirking. "Welcome once again, I'm Garret by the way, and he's pissed." Nicole was still too stunned to respond. Asha stood mutely in the corner, peering at them with curious eyes and an uncomfortable stance. A mischievous gleam shone in his eyes and he gingerly raised her hand and kissed it. Nicole blinked, but her brain was still processing the cheers from the pack members. This time a roar emanated from outside. Garrett chuckled, "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." He murmured, letting her go. "Nice meeting you Nicole, now I must go and wrestle with my very pissed Alpha. See you around." With that, he vanished.
