THE DIVORCED WIFE RETURNS TO TAKE BACK WHAT’S HERS

THE DIVORCED WIFE RETURNS TO TAKE BACK WHAT’S HERS

ELENA “Are you kidding me?” The words scraped out of my throat, barely more than a whisper. Paul’s face told me everything before he even spoke. No flicker of humour, no mercy. He just shook his head, solemn and heavy, and held his phone out to me. My fingers felt stiff as I took it. The headline on the screen blurred for a second before it sharpened in my vision: “Fire breaks out at Westgate Street, No. 8482, New York.”

Marked by the Hot Trillionaire Devil

Marked by the Hot Trillionaire Devil

Lexa tried not to blush but it was difficult when he looked at her with his toxic emerald eyes. "Can we just go?" "That means you're not mad anymore?" "You make it difficult for me to ever stay mad at you!" He held her waist and pecked her. "You know I love you, right?" "You make me doubt it sometimes." Elliot was about to say something when something else got his tongue. Lexa noticed he froze and turned to what he was looking at. It was THE GATE. It was an abandoned golden gate with seaweeds covering most of it and brown moss aided the seaweeds in doing so. The gate stood tall and the gaps between the poles was enough for a child suffering from muscle atrophy to fit in.

DEATH REINCARNATE

DEATH REINCARNATE

HE smiles in satisfaction as HE grins in pure delight, but with slight malice just for fun, whispering the words. “Well then.” With a quick snap and the echoing sound that engulfs the place, the pentagram of the gates draws unto the floor. With its distinct color and hue, a gate appears with a symbol that does not resemble any other else, but a special type of one. A unique one, and more likely a special door that does not just link from one person to another, from one god and with its distinction, but everything that falls under the truth of the seven worlds and books.

CAGED, CLAIMED, AND FATED

CAGED, CLAIMED, AND FATED

I didn't know how I got to this dark road, and the confusion was making the panic in my chest grow worse. I finally reached the front of the gate. I looked around, but there was nobody there. There were no checkpoints, no guard rooms, and no gatekeeper's quarters where I could easily knock and ask for directions. I expected a small station, a little room where a gatekeeper usually stays to watch the road, but there was absolutely nothing like that. There was just the cold, towering iron gate standing alone in the fog. And written across the top of the iron bars, glowing with a faint, ghostly light, were the words: The Veil of Death.

Fated to my 4 bully Stepbrothers

That didn’t mean I wasn’t important, I had to observe, find things they might miss, and provide the kind of support that could make or break the game. “We all need to put our head in the game.” Alerion told us all. “Yes, Captain.” We nodded in agreement. “Good.” “Let’s go!” We sprinted into the challenge area, only to be stopped by a massive iron gate blocking our path. The other teams reached it at the same time, scrambling to figure out how to open it. “There’s a puzzle,” Caius muttered, stepping forward as his scrutinizing eyes scanned the symbols engraved on the gate. “Looks like a combination lock. We need to….”

He asked her. Audrey scratched her head. “I don’t remember having an entrance or an exit gate but I’m certain that it’s the only gate we used before,” she answered, looking at the old bougainvillea plant arching on top of the iron gate, flaunting its purple flowers. “Oh. By just looking at the gate, I could tell that you were born with a silver spoon. That reminds me how abundant your life was when we first met,” Nathan smiled while focusing his eyes in front. “You were like trying to dispose of your extra carbs taken from your daily dose of fats, right?” he continued.

The plot could have been waaaayyyyyy better. It started promisingly and to my utter dismay the female lead started behaving stupidly. Some of the stuff she said and did was too childish. Good plot but how the story unfold could have been much better

The Billionaire's Heir

The Billionaire's Heir

"Are you ready?" I examined the massive gate in front of me. It's so gigantic that standing next to it would just make you like a small ant. The gate is simply white with a gold heart engraved on the top. It's not the type that you'll find a nice gate in the subdivision you'll pass through, it's just like a huge gate and that's all. Nothing was special, because beautiful things were all inside. And I know who lives here. The Lincolns.

ENSNARED BY HIS STRANGE PROPOSAL

ENSNARED BY HIS STRANGE PROPOSAL

At his Apartment He got to the gate and screeched to a stop. To his vexation, the guards refused to open the gate when they noticed that there was a girl in the passenger's seat. He honked his horn, and waited. Rather than opening the gate, Mrs. Gail, the forty years female guard, who had taken the place of Lady Mitchell Stewart and added mothering Johnny to her tasks, walked up to him with aggression written on her face. He wound down the window and greeted. “Good morning, Mrs. Gail.”

Shadows and First Blood

Shadows and First Blood

It made everything into a maybe. He moved along the vendor row, ignoring the closed shutters, the handwritten signs promising oysters and chowder tomorrow. At the third stall, he stopped. A single wet footprint, half-lifted, pointed toward a service gate. Barely there. The kind of thing that doesn’t mean anything unless you want it to. He wanted it to. He followed the not-trail to the gate and found a lock that looked as if it had changed its mind about staying. A hairline scratch along the hasp. A tiny streak of oil where a blade had kissed metal. Gideon’s quiet gift, used well.

Your Kiss On My List (BL #1)

Your Kiss On My List (BL #1)

"Lea, we're at your house. You need to open the gate, alright?" "What? I don't understand you, Iris. I'm just cold." My patience is slowly picking down. My jaw tightened as I tried to open their gate. But then, I realized that the gate has a smart lock. It needed a fingerprint and a pin to access. Oh fuck. What will happen to us now that she's drunk? "Lea, what's the pin of your gate?" "Oh, the pin?" "Yes." "It's five, one, one, one, two, eight."
