Princess of the Night and Prince of the Day
Others call it ‘the garbage gate’.
Toward this gate, two-winged males in a red tunic and black pants are coming, one pushing a wooden cart, on which is something long and narrow covered with rags, and the other walking beside with a shovel. Up close, under the light of the twin crescents, it turns out to be someone other than something, as feet are sticking out from the edge. Seeing their clothes, one guard at the gate mutters, “Red Garden.” The guards only give a glance at the pale feet beneath the rags, before signaling the cart can pass through.
They hurry along the many streets, past small and large buildings.
