An Odyssey

An Odyssey

I hadn’t talked to her three weeks. I went outside the room and in the kitchen. “Hey Grandma,” I said as lively as I could but a worried expression raised my face when I heard her coughing so badly. We talked about the usual stuff but her cough was the only thing I was concentrating on. It wasn’t settling. “Grandma, are you sure you are alright? You have been coughing really badly.” “I’m fine…it’s just some allergy I got a few weeks ago,” she said. Weeks ago?

CONVENIENT VOWS WITH THE BILLIONAIRE

CONVENIENT VOWS WITH THE BILLIONAIRE

I tried to recall what had happened, and immediately fragments of the morning's events began to piece together. I remembered being at my hotel room, immersed in the usual chaos of preparing for legal cases, but today I wasn't myself. This morning started with a persistent cough that I had quickly dismissed as just stress, though it was the first time it felt this bad. It had been six months since I'd been dealing with this persistent cough that wouldn't go away, no matter how many medications I'd taken. Back then, I thought it was because of the winter season. The cough came with other symptoms, ones I had brushed off as nothing.

What Separates Me and You

What Separates Me and You

"It's a lung issue. She inhaled too much thick smoke before, leading to damage to her lung function and a minor infection. Her recovery will be a demanding process that requires patience and can't be rushed." "Is the coughing normal then?" "Coughing is a way for the body to eliminate toxins. Increased blood flow to the heart at night can easily trigger coughing." Mrs. Larson heaved a sigh of relief and asked, "So it's normal, and we don't need to worry, right?"

Rayna Pelkonen
This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.

Why the Crocodile Tears?

Why the Crocodile Tears?

"Even so, you could have spoken up first. And you slipped away so fast. You were clearly the one too scared to face her." Gregory's lips twitched slightly, then he suddenly coughed uncontrollably. It took a while before he managed to recover. "I don't know what you're talking about." "Still pretending, huh?" Louie clicked his tongue in annoyance. Gregory's coughing was due to lung damage from internal injuries. Although he had undergone surgery and wasn't coughing up blood anymore, he was still in recovery. It was normal for him to cough occasionally. He just needed to follow his treatment plan and get enough rest to fully heal.

Through Your Eyes

Through Your Eyes

I answered with a wide grin, hoping she hadn't caught my pretense in coming here. "After that, have you gone back to Sama Island or traveled to countries where the virus is on outbreak?" "No." "What else prompted you for a check-up?" "I have a cough." "Describe your cough, Mr. Grey," she said, and her addressing me in my name got me tickled in my heart. Hoping that soon, I would be calling her Dr. Grey. "It's dry and persistent like every time I got my asthma attack." "Are you having a breathing difficulty?"

Two Alphas. Two Betas. One Mate.

Two Alphas. Two Betas. One Mate.

“Everything. Symptoms, how it started, all of it.” He rubbed his face and hesitated. “It’s an old sickness, it hits the lungs mostly. Healers say it’s incurable.” “That’s vague,” I said. “Come on, give me more. What exactly happens when she coughs? Any patterns?” He shifted and avoided my eyes. “It’s worse at night, blood comes up thick, she weakens after each attack. That’s it. Family secret, Elena, I can’t say everything.” “Push harder,” my wolf urged. “He’s hiding something.”

Loving my fathers best friend

Loving my fathers best friend

The guilt was suffocating. When the doctor finally came out, he was calm and reassuring. “It’s just a common cough, Mrs. Reed. Nothing serious. No signs of pneumonia or infection. We’ll give you some infant cough syrup and instructions for monitoring. She should be fine in a few days. These things are normal in babies, especially preemies. Keep an eye on her, but there’s no need to worry excessively.”

Could it be asthma? “It’s an old problem,” Gyle said casually. “Whenever I start coughing, I just take some medicine.” As he spoke, he picked up a bottle from the coffee table and prepared to swallow a pill.

Ngayon, hindi na talaga gumagaya sa kaniya! My horrendous coughing catch everyone's attention from the same table. That broke the dead atmosphere and was replaced by concern, curiosity, annoyance and disgust.
