"You must be the only person who can call that guy as gentle." Benette commented. He can never think that the word gentle will be used to describe Asher Myein. If Benette has to describe that alpha, he will be using the words menace, jerk, loud and cocky. He is also too confident as if nothing can bring him down. But Benette knows that Asher has the right to act like that.

“Okay, Mummy.” From the driver’s seat, I caught Benjamin’s reflection in the rearview mirror. He was watching Daisy, a quiet smile on his face, his eyes softer than I’d ever seen. That look made my heart ache with warmth and something deeper I couldn’t name. We drove to a small restaurant nearby. The receptionist greeted us and led us to a private section, away from the noise of the main hall. It was quiet,m. A waiter came over, polite and smiling, and Benjamin placed our order with his usual calmness. He always seemed so composed, even in the smallest moments, like ordering food. I rested my hand on the table, trying to ground myself after the storm of emotions at the cemetery.
