Better In Every Way
I know I’m not the only one that they hurt, and I’m starting to see that more and more every day when I see how everyone else reacts to the mere mention of their names.
After a while, I pack the remaining pizza into some Tupperware containers and fold the boxes so they can fit into the trash can.
“Since you’re here, do you mind helping me with my hair? I got some rollers, I want to try something I saw on the internet.” I ask; I know George would never pass up an opportunity to be helpful.
“Sure.” He smiles, practically leaping off the bar stool.
