Harrison was seated to his left. “You are holding us back from eating. Sit down!” Adele snapped when Willow continued to glance between the chair that Marshall was holding out to her and the vacant one beside Sophia. Harrison did not say anything to her but he was watching her as if waiting for her to make a mistake so that he could jump her. Willow quickly made a decision and dropped onto the one beside Marshall. She shivered when she felt heat flow through her body to settle in the pit of her stomach when he murmured in that low and deep voice of his for her hearing alone, “Good girl.”

“Hey Sloan, have you heard from Willow?” “No, George asked me to give her some space and wait for her move. I didn’t mean to scare her. I just wanted to talk about things. I needed her to know the truth about me and how dangerous being my Luna could be so she knew it was HER choice. Not mine. My choice is her. Always. But if the dangers deter her, I will respect that.”

Richard and Jonathan both froze, thrown off balance by the sudden firmness of her refusal. At that moment, calm footsteps sounded on the stairs inside the villa. Willow, who had been standing at the upstairs study door watching everything with cold eyes, finally came down. His expression was openly cold and hostile, like the look of a lord guarding his own territory. He did not look at Maria at all as he walked straight up to Richard. "Cook?" Willow let out a disdainful laugh. "You have quite the refined hobby, Mr. Shaw. But our kitchen doesn't welcome outsiders. The gate is right there. See yourself out."

"Cut out the excuses. Cedar's majoring in engineering. He'll probably be on construction sites during his internship and even after he lands a full-time job. How often will he need a suit? If you're going to make up reasons, at least make them convincing," Joey said. She candidly exposed Willow's true motives without hesitation. "So, is this gift for Theodore? If not, I'm not interested in helping you choose it. Others don't deserve it." Unable to counter, Willow admitted, "Okay. Fine. I admit it's for him. Now, is this one the right choice?"

"Ms. Anderson!" Willow approached them slowly. Seeing this, Jenna snapped, "What do you want?" "I wasn't talking to you, Mrs. Farrow." Willow flashed Jenna a wry smile before handing the gift bag she'd been carrying to Kelly. "Ms. Anderson, Arthur and I will visit you and Mr. Collinsworth in a few days. But seeing as I've run into you here, I got you a small gift. I hope you'll like it." Willow was wearing a white jacket and carried herself with confidence and grace. She had such a pretty face, too, and was polite. Kelly liked her almost immediately. "Very well. Let us know before you visit."

Between fits of giggles, Penelope leaned closer and whispered, "You know, Little-angel, I've heard something intriguing. "It's all yours," Willow says, teetering on her feet as she stands, her kneecaps bandaged. She raises her chin to meet Kaleb's gaze. "Have you found Licorice?" Kaleb's hand hovers near her hip in case she stumbles. "We're working on it." I can hear the hint of his South Philly accent. "Are you okay?" "Yes." Willow blinks as if trying to fight off her drunkenness. She hiccups and adds, "Thank you, Mr. O'Brien." He's twenty-seven, the same age as Lennox. Not middle-aged.

Maisie chuckled, raised the wine glass, and poured it over Willow’s head. The red wine streamed down from her hair onto her face and clothes. Willow froze in place. One could imagine how embarrassed she was in the eyes of all the guests present. Ryleigh ridiculed Willow after she realized something. “Willow Vanderbilt, are you so shameless that you’re pretending to be Zee’s mother’s daughter?” “No, I’m not—” Willow wanted to escape.

She pointed at Willow. Willow chuckled. "I'm Willow. I'm kinda useless in the whole beat the shit out of you department, but I bake and make gods jealous of my sweetness. I'm also kinda great at being at your back. After all the issues the last year, I upped my proficiency with guns and am now considered a marksman with my personal firearm. Don't let that fool you, because that skill degrades with other guns." She shrugged, passed the conversational ball to Ksenia.
