The voice becomes louder, but this time it's not coming from a specific direction; it's coming from my head. I clutch the sides of my head, fall to my knees and scream at the top of my lungs. I don't need voices in my head. I don't need any of this. The whole situation is horrible enough as it is. I don't need nightmares and losing the last bit of sanity. "Keep walking. He finishes talking, and I swing my head back, hearing him groan. "I meant brain. Use your brain and consider ways to escape. Shit." He groans and releases me.

Now, not drinking made me fake. My hands were shaking. I felt sick. They kept yelling. I turned to leave. Chuck yanked me back and shoved me onto the couch. My stomach slammed into the sharp edge of the table. The pain hit hard—blinding and instant. My head spun. My stomach throbbed. I couldn't move. Chuck barked, "Get up! Stop faking! Say sorry!" He grabbed me again, dragging me upright. Then I saw it—the blood on the floor.

How can I stop myself? How can I push her away from danger, when the danger wants to follow her? “F*ck.” I roughly messed my head up, trying to crack an answer from my head. Then suddenly, I heard Elizabeth shouting outside. “Ahhhh!”

And say "I don't know what to do anymore" In my head everything is spinning, my thoughts are tangled, things are going from bad to worse, but somehow, I need a solution from the smallest to the one that is affecting me the most. I give a long sigh of stress, get out of bed, put on some slippers and leave the mansion to clear my mind.

It's like they have a mind of their own, trying to take over the little space in my head. And it only gets more confusing and complicated because, for some reason, Jacob keeps popping into my head, and that's so out of the blue because I usually never think about him. I try my best to keep him out of my mind to avoid getting hurt, but it's like he's on repeat in my thoughts and I can't hit the pause button. It's driving me nuts. I wish I had a magic trick to make those thoughts disappear, but unfortunately, I'm still figuring it out myself.

That’s all you ever think with. You should try thinking once in awhile with another part of your body. And by ‘another part of your body’ I mean – ” “Yeah, I know what you mean,” I said snarkily. “That’s your specialty, not mine.” She shook her head as she walked out the door. “You should try it sometime. Why pass up a chance at something amazing for something you don’t really want?”

My voice sounded in my head and everything paused for a brief moment. “ It’s simple, Ami. You never become part of the maze. You look at it from outside, like a fleeting visitor. Either map out the whole maze or locate what you need the most and walk away. Remember, the sooner you get away from the maze, the less you will be tempted to get lost inside. ” She whispered, pressing a kiss on the back of my head. “ What if I get lost and don’t find my way out? ” A shudder rolled down my spine at the thought.
