Gomez said. "This is crazy. It's just a coincidence I think, Maybe the theory of doppelganger exist, we all have ours right?" Mrs. Kim said. "I don't know what to believe, I don't believe the theory of reincarnation but seems this is mysterious." He said and paused. "I'll be taking my leave, Nice spending time with you, Mrs. Kim." They shook hands and he left. Mr. Gomez kept staring at the two picture as he approached the car.

Who could possibly have a reason to want him dead so badly? Seeing there was still some time before nine o’clock, I told him everything I had experienced. All of it. "Whether you believe it or not, my doppelganger will appear and kill you." Elan looked unconvinced. "Doppelgangers only appear once every few centuries. And like you said, night-shift officers pass out, surveillance just happens to fail… How could those five minutes be that special?" I stared at him intensely. "That’s exactly why I’m asking you. What’s so special about those five minutes?"

But your mother's about to die—I know you'll show up. Her words jolted me back to reality. I pressed a hand to my chest, where my heart ached with a dull, numbing pain. How I wished I could tell her myself. That I've been here all along. It's just that... I've been dead for four years.

my mom offered with a weak smile. The resemblance between her and Ashley was uncanny. One might think she was Ashley’s twin instead of me. My dad helped me up and carried me to the room as my mom walked behind him. But the terrifying image of Anthony Gordon emerging from flames kept replaying in my mind. It made me wonder what really happened on the blood moon. The Chesterfields connected us with tubes, and Yarikh’s box was in between. So I wondered what was transferred from me to him when I blacked out. But whatever it was, I hoped I would never see him again.

“I’m not sure of the how and why of it, but when you travel to different timelines, you occasionally encounter a person who could be your doppelganger. They’re more than just a twin. They carry an essence of you in them. They lead a life that feels familiar to you. Perhaps it is a life that you’d considered or even feared. Should you cross each other’s paths, one of two things will happen. You will either feel a bond of familiarity that resembles love, or you will feel disdain or possibly even hate. It all depends upon what aspect of you the doppelganger happens to hold within it.” “Wow. That’s so unbelievable, it’s believable,” she said with awe. “Isn’t it? You should have seen me the

The excitement took mother and daughter away while he sat down digesting the whole scenario and the impact of doppelganger in the society. A doppelgänger or doppelganger is a biologically unrelated look-alike, or a double, of a living person. In fiction and mythology, a doppelgänger is often portrayed as a ghostly or paranormal phenomenon and usually seen as a harbinger of bad luck. Other traditions and stories equate a doppelgänger with an evil twin.

“A doppelganger?” “Someone who looks just like you,” I clarified, my tone as casual as I could make it, though my grip on the briefcase in my hand tightened. Rui didn’t hesitate. “You should’ve killed him.” “What?” I blinked, caught off guard by his response. “Only one person shall remain,” Rui said firmly like this were a universally accepted rule. “Don’t you know about that rule, sir? You love watching horror movies! A doppleganger is someone placed in the world to replace you. You should have offed his head right away. Or, do you want me to do that for you, sir?”

“I didn’t want to run the risk of her jealousy ruining our mission.” “I suppose Geo kept it from me for the same reason?” I said. “You aren’t the only doppelganger born of Shona,” he explained. “Over the centuries, we have encountered several. They looked like her, but they were not her reincarnated… until now. It took time for that to fact to show itself. I imagine Geo thought you just another look-alike put on this planet to taunt him.” “What does he think now?” I asked.

Nick exclaimed. He immediately pointed his thermal camera on top of the railing and what he got was a sudden significant temperature drop. "I got a temperature drop right there." He added. They quickly came to his side to see it with their own eyes. And, what they saw was definitely a crucial temperature drop. It is believed that ghosts/spirits use the energy in their surroundings to recharge themselves or for their manifestations. Sometimes, they'll absorb the thermal energy around themselves which usually results in a considerable drop in temperature. This often indicates that a certain unknown entity is present at that spot. Otherwise, what else can cause such an alteration in temperature

He stood straight with a serious face as he began his explanation. "Ghosts are the souls of dead humans who... well, aren't ready to rest in peace. They don't have powers. All they can do is move from one place to another without being seen. Well, not by everyone though." "But... if you're a demon, why then are you in this form?" She couldn't help but ask.
