She went back to her bed and laid back on it, in the same position as her lifeless body. She laid back, closed her eyes, and opened them. She got up, looked around, and was greeted with the sight of graves. She was back in that same cemetery, but this time the gates were open and she could see them. Only one name came into her mind "Austin". If he can see her, then there was a reason why. She thought he was the key for her to getting back and she wasn't ready to mess it up this time. She left the cemetery and went back to Austin's place. Standing at the exact place where she stood, waiting for him to come back. She was sure no one was home, because all the lights were out and she had gone in

Chapter 1: The Arrival As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over the dusty road, a weary traveler approached the outskirts of a mysterious city cloaked in mist. The city seemed to materialize out of thin air, its spires reaching towards the heavens like fingers grasping at the sky. Curiosity mingled with apprehension as the traveler made his way through the imposing gates, their iron bars creaking ominously in the evening breeze. He could sense an air of mystery hanging over the city, like a shroud of secrets waiting to be unraveled.

"But Miss, after what happened at Moonlight Garden..." I understood their concern. The "ghost wall" incident had unnerved all of us—strange mists that had separated me from my companions just long enough for the mysterious attacker to strike. "I've faced death before," I said softly. "I'm not afraid of ghosts." Even having died and returned in my previous life, I found the cemetery unsettling. The burial chambers, the stench of decay, and the mourning cloths filled me with nausea. "Two hours," I told Agatha. "If I haven't returned by then, come find me."

I drifted along behind him, floating like a restless ghost all the way to the hospital, until I found myself in Alice's ward. There she was, lying on the hospital bed, her face pale and pitiful, as though she were the very picture of tragedy. But looking at her only brought a fresh wave of agony as I thought of my own child—a child fully formed, yet never given the chance to see this world. I glared at Alice and Grayson with a rage so fierce it burned through my spectral being. In that moment, I wished I could transform into a vengeful spirit and drag these two wretched souls to the grave to accompany my child.

The ghost kept floating taking them to the deepest part of the woods, they got to a place which was very dark, the temperature around it was cold, really cold. Catrina got down from Terrick's back when the alpha stopped walking. It front of them stood a huge black door with red knob. The ghost girl when through the door with no need for it to open, Terrick shift to his human form, his hand stretch to touch the knob but it burned him. "Looks like the rumors are true, a living person can't open the gate of Hades." He step back for Catrina to move forward, the human stretch her hand to the doorknob taking a deep breath she twist and the door open.

“Before someone sees you.” The door swung inward, revealing a small, dark hallway that smelled of dust, lavender, and old memories. Avery didn’t hesitate. She stepped across the threshold, out of the fading twilight and into the ghost’s home. The door closed softly but firmly behind her, plunging them both into a shared darkness. ***

“Hurry, Father. You must help Ian!” Adam steeled his nerves, took a deep breath, and forced his legs to take him across the hot, charred ground as fast as he could. He had to weave around a few spirits who were so opaque and dense that they could have easily passed as real people. He debated whether they were even aware of him as they moved aimlessly about in a zombie like manner.

Ghost explained. I closed my eyes and stopped pretending, letting out a sigh of pain and tiredness. It took a few minutes for us to arrive because Ghost was moving slowly, precisely so as not to hurt me anymore. I know the exact moment I enter the Imperial bedroom and open my eyes, Ghost lets go of my waist and I stagger, but I make it to the bed and lie down. His number would not ring. Maybe he needed space to sort out everything going on. I stared at the torn page in front of me—a fragment I’d found near the old vent shaft in the hallway closet. She looked at my bruised face, then past me at the cramped living room. ​"So," she said, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation. "This is where the Ghost lives." ​"It isn't much," I said, closing the door and locking it. The sound of the bolt clicking felt different tonight. It felt like we were shutting the rest of the world out. ​"It’s real," Chloe said. She walked over to the kitchen table, running her fingers along the edge of my worn-out textbooks. "No mahogany desks. No hidden cameras. No Senators watching your every move."
