CHAPTER 16 The Ghost In The Machine POV: Elara My eyelids opened slowly as the cool air brushed my skin. Right from the ceiling, my eyes started to scan through the room. Had Roman found me? Had he taken me back to the Crescent Estate…. Oh my days!! ….This can’t be happening.

I even received a huge bonus. On the day I got the bonus, the very first thing I did was seek out my landlord. I bought the so-called haunted apartment. From now on, it would be my home. I choose you,” she responded. The ghost's laughter rang out from every direction. The man straightened up, with a look of satisfaction. “Then you’ll never leave this bed.” Camela went stiff with shock. “What?” "You don’t need doors anymore. You don't need to run, lock anything, or utter prayers. You’ve come back home."
