I look up and see a smirking sniper and feel the red laser aimed right at my forehead, but that smirk drops from his face when my lip curls into a smile. Ghost was standing behind him, his eyes completely white as he tapped into his beast - that sniper’s head hit the floor in front of me before he could fire another shot. Ghost grins, then he disappears in the blink of an eye and I don’t even have to look behind me to know he’s ripped more sniper heads off.

Tian Tian ordered before making a fist and throwing something at a specific place. Slowly the powder that Tian Tian threw started burning and disappeared into the air. In the next second, Tian Tian took another two steps forward and threw a black colored powder at the same place. --- Ohohoh... I hope I am able to engage you all. If my wraith dies then the spirit is released and they join said stars.” He waved his hand as if waving the thought away. “My Love how are you faring?” I swallowed unable to dismiss the idea of those poor spirits locked away from the afterlife. “I… I’m well. The view is lovely here.” I changed topics quickly.

It pulled it out. Silver light poured from her veins into his chest, and then something dark and writhing tore free, dissolving as it crossed into her. Lucas convulsed, his body arching violently before collapsing to his knees. His eyes flickered. Silver dimmed. Then vanished. Lucas gasped, sucking in air like a man surfacing from deep water. He collapsed fully, catching himself on his hands, shaking. “It is gone,” he whispered hoarsely. “It is gone.”

Upon seeing that, everyone instantly went quiet, not wanting to affect his concentration… Fast forward to half an hour later, Master Ghost made it past the fifth page before rubbing his slightly sore eyes as he said, “…So… From what I was able to gather, the very start of the book details how to conduct one of the Seadom tribe’s sacrificial rituals… With that said, I believe the parts about getting to Yearning Island should come much later on…” Watching as Master Ghost then took a sip of his tea—that had already gone cold—, Gerald replied, “That’s great progress! Don’t worry, you’re doing good. Take your time...”

“That was a weird thing to call it. They did look that way, though.” I sighed and rested my back on the tower of pillows Akihiro made as we were talking. Though it was weird for him, I couldn’t help but think that everything that happened today ever since I got out of the restaurant was eerie and… enigmatic, at most. “Are you bothered by it?” Akihiro snapped me out of my thoughts. I shrugged. “It was just weird,” “What is? That they didn’t look at me?” “Wait, did you try to snap your fingers?” I disregarded his question and asked another.

Then, from the darkness, a figure emerged. The Ghost. He was older, but his presence was as formidable as ever. His piercing blue eyes locked onto Dino, assessing, calculating. “You’ve grown,” the ghost said. His voice was rough, but there was something else there—a trace of regret. Dino didn’t waste time on pleasantries. “Why now?” The ghost exhaled. “Because you’re not just fighting a war, Dino. You’re fighting a trap.” Dino’s eyes narrowed. “Explain.”
