“Scarlett… don’t let him win.” I nodded, swallowing hard, but I didn’t answer. I couldn’t. The weight of her words pressed into me like stone. Outside, the black sedan waited, unmarked and humming. Reilly climbed in with us, driving through silent streets, the city sleeping under a blanket of fog. When we arrived at Ghost Harbor, the air was sharp with salt and cold. The docks stretched ahead, creaking under the wind. A few lights flickered, casting long shadows that danced across the water like wraiths.

They were midway across the path, in front of a cemetery when suddenly graves started opening. "What is going on?" Isabella asked, clutching onto Chris tightly. Chris was suddenly sweating so furiously but Ariel was cool and her face was blank and devoid of any emotions. They stood there watching six tombs open and six scary-looking ghosts walked out. Isabella was already whitish in appearance knowing who they are. Chris's hairs were all up and his eyes green, his normal sight nature. "GREETINGS TO THE SPECIAL ONE." One of them muttered. "GREETINGS TO THE LITTLE GODDESS." Another muttered.

Rising up from the glow are figures, somehow standing on the water and walking toward us. Layla gasps, and as the figures get closer, I do too. Standing before me, their bodies made entirely out of a slivery lunar glow, are Caleb and my parents. Other figures appear, people I don’t recognize, and they approach Nash, or Layla, or Arnold. There seems to be someone here for everyone, and I hear muffled cries of overwhelmed joy as all my pack members here on the beach seem to be reunited with the spirits of lost loved ones.

They walked into the darkness of the tunnels, heading deeper, toward the warning signs that read RADIATION HAZARD: DO NOT ENTER. She got her phone out and tried to call me, her hands shaking as she did. Alas, by then, I was already on my flight to Jasperton. The call couldn't get through at all. All Wendy got in return was the automated message. Wendy's heart slowly started sinking. Everything had been perfectly fine yesterday. Why was it suddenly impossible to reach me today?
