Don’t be a creep Con. I lock up and ensure Roxie is settled before heading back into my bedroom. She is still there in the exact position I left her in. Her chest is rising and falling softly as she breathes. I climb into bed next to her and put my phone on charge. As it plugs in the screen illuminates and I realise that I have a few missed messages. D: Connie bear! Where hav u gon? I need to tlk 2 u. I miss u Connie! I no u would rather have me then the trash ;)

Connie asked batting her brown eyes as she tucks a piece of her curly chocolate brown hair behind her ear. "No, thank you. I'm good." Jade said without making eye contact with her. "Oh come on. Just a teeny tiny drink?" Connie begged and my blood began to boil. Irritaion began to roll off of Jade and I decided to step in. "Connie, was it?" I ask. Connie flirtatiously nodded her head biting her bottom lip. "Well, Connie, Jade said 'no thank you'. Plus he also has a mate and it would be inappropriate."

The rest of the day was a blur with all the work and for me, Abigail kept her mouth shut. “I’m sorry, Clara. She doesn’t mean it,” Gigi offered with an apologizing smile as we made our way to the empty tables. Gigi was more mature and understanding than Abigail. She was married and was a mother of two beautiful children. Her husband, Norman, worked with a logistics company here in Dawson Creek. Gigi had wheat colored skin with thick black locks that bounced around her shoulders and warm brown eyes that always glanced at me with sisterly love. “I know,” I responded and continued to clean the tables.

Gianna appeared to be pleased with herself as she eyed Hilda with disdain "Connie and I will be the perfect couple if we end up together. We were made for each other! What we have is true love and you can never come between us, so why don't you back off for your own good?" Hilda could only stare blankly at her. Is Gianna trying to insinuate that Connie is not good enough for her? Connie had only ever met Gianna on two occasions, the first being an exhibition where she had spoken to Gianna briefly and the other had been at the military compound. Altogether, they had barely spent more than two or three hours in each other's company, so how in the world was she convinced that they were in love?

She blinked at me before nodding her head yes. "Oh shit you got it!" Zaire said fist bumping my upper arm.
