But its grandson, the small grey wolf Sylvan had brought back from the forest, was already grown. Rage had named him Firepaw—for the patch of dark red fur on his right front paw. Piper smiled and nodded her head before the two walked into the penthouse. Back at Mateo’s penthouse, he quietly sits in his living room while Rex lay on the couch beside him. She will be leaving her furs on his grey couch, but she doesn’t care. Mateo has tried to train her not to get on the couch, but she never learned.
