A small, stupid part of me hates him for that too.
“Explain,” I choke out.
He glances at the screen. His entire face drains of color.
“Cara, wait—”
“Oh, save it,” I snap. My voice cracks, humiliation bleeding through every syllable. “A baby, Giovanni?! A whole baby?!”
His jaw tightens. “It’s not what you think.”
“Really?” My laugh is sharp, stunned, ugly. “Because it looks like you slept with me while someone else is pregnant with your child.”
