Given To The Lycan King Novels & Stories

He replied, continuing to walk. “Is King Marcelo going to be gracing us with his presence this year?” Jason asked the king. “Well. We are not certain. He never responded to the letter,” the King replied. The Lycan King? Did they invite him? The cold-blooded killer was invited to the convention? I wondered, following behind. If at all the Lycan will be here, I made a note to make sure that I avoid them at all costs. They were ruthless and dominant.

Alora’s eyes met mine across the room, and she smiled, nodding. I smiled back and hugged my siblings closer. Then there was a throat clearing, jolting us back to the chambers. The Lycan king's gaze was fixed on me. “You will not get her for free. For blood returned, blood must be given. My granddaughter… for your sister.” I froze as there were gasps in the council.

"The entire world has been waiting for the day the Lycan King would find his mate." I paused briefly before turning toward Maria and declaring firmly،"This is the Lycan King's mate... the woman the Moon Goddess bound to me." Whispers and shock erupted immediately among the crowd. And certainly, the sight of her restrained by the Blood Moon Plant was more than enough to fuel their confusion and questions. I raised my hand once again, and silence settled over the summit. I stepped forward until I stood directly before Maria. Then I looked at her with deadly coldness before speaking in a serious voice that everyone heard clearly "I, Alexander Morganth, King of the Lycans..."

He snapped his fingers. "Get this man healed and fed. He’s gonna lead us directly to the witches, and after that, he’s gonna hand deliver the Lycan King Himself to me. The hunt begins now." My heart pounded in my chest. How on earth was I gonna do that? Bram was out of his mind. The Lycan king was not at all the way he used to be. He was different, stronger. He fought like he had a purpose. I was ushered to the infirmary and Nikki immediately got to work.

As the darkness of his gaze swallowed me whole, I realized that the girl who was rejected by the pack was about to become the woman who rules them all. Liam didn't just throw away a mutt; he threw away a queen. The Lycan King’s grip tightened, his eyes flashing with a possessive hunger that told me he was never letting go. "Mine," he whispered. And for the first time in twenty-one years, I believed it.

Lysander raised the dagger, its blade blazing weakly. And then the darkness parted. The Lycan king stood in the center of the room. Not the memory from my vision. Him. Alive. His skin was the color of ash, his eyes the color of blood. His crown of thorns pierced his brow, and dark liquid dripped down his temples. You have grown strong, Ravenna, he said. Stronger than I expected. Stronger than the first wolf. Cassian stepped between us. You will not touch her.

It was heavier than it looked, the cover soft and a little sticky with age. It opened plainly enough: Each alpha has a prophecy, and it will always come to pass. Weird, I thought. The kind of line that means nothing until, suddenly, it means everything. I almost put it back right there. I wish I had. I kept reading instead. The Tenth Lycan King will conceive a child with his Luna. The child will be the most powerful and most feared in history. I read it again, slower. Then a third time, waiting for the words to rearrange themselves into something that made more sense, something less impossible. They didn't.

facing him eye to eye until I felt pain in my bite marks. I held my back and was almost bending my knees when Rozen caught me in his arms. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked, concerned. "Yeah." I lied, because the more the man looked at me the more the pain in my back killed me. "It's finally nice to meet you, Ms. Klay Rose Green." The man handed his hand to me. "I am the current lycan king."

It made a sick kind of sense once I understood their strategy. They knew that killing me would be difficult, that a Lycan King was hard to put down even with superior numbers and firepower. But they also understood that hurting Vera would destroy me more effectively than any bullet or blade, that watching my mate die would break something inside me that could never be repaired. A Lycan King who'd lost his mate was a creature of pure rage and grief, unable to think strategically or lead effectively, consumed by the need for vengeance to the exclusion of all else.

“To the Council.” My heart dropped. “What did she say?” He unrolled the scroll and read aloud, his voice flat "To the esteemed Council of Frost Bane and the Moonspire Alliance, It has come to my attention that the Lycan King has grown… compromised. Since the arrival of the breeder Morwenna Ashbourne, his decisions have grown violent, and unbefitting the throne. I fear she has ensnared him with manipulation—or worse. If allowed to continue, she will become the downfall of the pack.
