LUSTBORN

LUSTBORN

Lurid, searing, a color that didn't belong to this world. Fallon's knees weakened. Her breath came shallow, ragged. She stumbled a step back, pointing with a trembling finger towards the eyes reflection on the glass. "There….don't you see them?" Sylvia turned, impatient, but her stare met only a clean window and her own reflection. "See what?" The crowd swallowed the space. The light blinked red. Cars roared to a stop. Fallon's vision tunneled until only those burning eyes remained, pinning her in place.

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

The hollow glowed as if it had stolen a fragment of dawn. Veins of fire traced themselves across the blackened stone, crawling like living lightning, branding the walls with memory. The scorched cracks hissed faintly, alive with a heat that wasn’t only heat, it was defiance. For a breath, just one fragile moment, I felt the forest stagger back.

Darkness

Darkness

I just remain squinting with my hands halfway up, the handcuffs preventing me from putting them all the way up. I am shaking uncontrollably. Isn't this a factory? Did I walk in on criminals doing something bad in an abandoned building? I have my eyes closed slightly because the light is too bright and my head is throbbing. Suddenly I hear a familiar voice telling them to lower their weapons. I try to widen my eyes and see who it is but the pain is too extreme and the adrenalin has gone. As the darkness takes me under I giggle at the blonde-haired ladies' man I have come to rely on, Max Stone.

Divorcing My Ruthless Husband

Divorcing My Ruthless Husband

I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anxiety as I watched them step out and join the crowd. Their eyes burned with the fury of a thousand raging storms, their glares piercing through my very soul. Yet, within the depths of their wrath, I found myself adrift, a shipwrecked vessel devoid of concern or interest in their tumultuous presence. “It’s Amby Black and Maxine Taylor!”

I'm still in the first few chapters and I'm so baffled by the husband's actuations. It was apparent that he doesn't love nor like Summer, thus the divorce. So why is he acting as if he doesn't want other men to see her in her revealing outfit? Or does it really look disgusting?

The Alpha King's Plus Size Mate

The Alpha King's Plus Size Mate

Olivia POV Two enormous crimson eyes slowly opened in the darkness. In the eerie silence of the Void, those eyes burned like glowing embers, blazing a deep crimson against the endless black. They did not blink. They simply stared at me, cold and emotionless. The eyes shifted. Slowly. Deliberately. Only the crimson glow moved through the darkness while the rest of its body remained swallowed by the black void, as though the darkness itself refused to reveal what lay beneath. I stood rooted to the spot.

It’s a very interesting read. I was surprised when it turned out so mystical. The grammar is off and some words are used wrongly, but it is still fairly understandable. What happened to her mate who came to find her? She seems to have forgotten him completely.

Deadly Affair with My Brother In-Law

Deadly Affair with My Brother In-Law

I did not suspect anything out of the ordinary from her and accepted the offer, never knowing the evil behind that smile. And as night wore on, a languor heavy as a physical oppression overcame me, different altogether from simple weariness. My sight and hearing were possessed by a dim blur; and my brain reeled in consequence. The last thing of which I was distinctly conscious was the piercing of Isabella's eyes through the Obscurity.

Blinded

Blinded

"Stars burn bright but the brighter they shine the faster they burn." ~LNF ------------------------------------------------------------‐-------- It was December when his parents abandoned him in the barren forest that was heavy with snow. A kit born with cloudy blue eyes, sightless but not deaf to the abandonment of his parents. He wailed when the quiet of the forest drowned him, the cold causing him to shiver and shy away in fear of the unknown, of the cold lifeless forest, but then there was warmth.

Whispers Of Anguish

Whispers Of Anguish

"Your existence is destructive, you'll bring disasters in the life of your loved ones" I cried my heart out, the fear absorbed me, but the dreadful voice seemed to neglect my suffering and continued "you traitor! Murderer! Wait for your karma to destroy you as you destroyed them," The voice kept on echoing. I covered my ears in horror. I screamed but I couldn't find a single soul that could offer me a helping hand. I could listen to the voice rising wild and nigher the trees and its leaves the drifting air, the ground that I was fallen on with misery the rocks that stood still in its might all that existing around me whirled in a motion and whispered "It's time for your retribution, it's ti

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

Their lips moved in unison, their voices lost under the battle's din, yet the energy of their spell vibrated in my bones. My heart hammered. The glow in my eyes pulsed brighter, matching the rhythm of my racing blood. The third eye at my forehead throbbed with every beat, wide open, unblinking, and consuming. I couldn't look away if I wanted to. It locked on them, cutting through the illusions like blades through silk.

Sargis and Narine just became one of my favourite couples! I love Sargis' love and devotion, and Narine's wisdom and quiet strength. I wish her adoptive parents were punished as well, but oh well ... (7/29/26)

I loved this book and it's characters. I love how there was no unnecessary drama that slowed the pace and didn't make sense like in other stories. And I loved the way that we got to see some of the same scenes from both perspectives. I'd love to read a sequel.
