The ones attacking, the ones fighting—they moved at unnatural speeds, their eyes glowing, their bodies shifting.
The legends, the nightmares whispered in hushed voices… they were real. Vampires.
Oh my God.
And Abaddon— He was one of them.
A wind-like force crashed against me, and suddenly, he was there. Right in front of me. Still in his monstrous form, his chest rising and falling with each heavy breath.
Before I could react, he grabbed something behind me.
Another attacker.
His fangs sank deep into the boy’s throat, tearing at his flesh with a ferocity that made bile rise in my throat. He didn’t stop until the body was lifeless.
