STALKING EXPERT

 CHAPTER 2

"Lone how did you end up here faster than us?" Slim asked in a wondering new voice while opening the car's door.

I was disturbed by the question, I didn't know what he was talking about and i didn't know what to say. The whole family stood in front of me , waiting for my answer, looking at me with strange faces.

"What do you mean faster than you?" I asked. 

"We left you at the supermarket when we were coming here" slim said. His words made me numb. I wasn't a fan of the supermarket, i could spend alot of time without going there and he knew it , so how could he say i was at the supermarket. In addition to that, the only places i managed to visit that day was Ellen's house and their house. 

"But wait, i didn't go that far today, i only visited ellen then i came here" i said while searching for another statement to support the first one. "And you know that i don't like going to the supermarket " i said and looked at slim but he didn't seem to believe me.

"So you mean the guy we saw there was not you?" His father asked, "are you sure we all saw some illusions of you?, you really mean we saw someone who really looked like you but its not you?. Come on boy stop being a jerk".Slim's Dad sounded more curious and serious this time

"Yes maybe we are just alike " i said.

"Alike! , you really mean alike?" Slim yelled seriously this time.

"Yes " i answered.

"How the hell is that even possible? " slim asked in an angry voice.

"Cool down son, don't act like he have killed someone" his father cooled him down.

"What do you mean slim?" I asked again to collect more information about the wrong me they met.

"I mean he was wearing the same clothes you are wearing right now, the same shoes and he was even wearing the same wrist watch you are wearing right there" slim explained.

"Damn it , someone is trying to be me" i said while looking at slim and his family. 

"Get out of here boy, you are confusing us " slims father said in a tough and angry voice, it was my first time seeing him so angry like that.

Anyway, i had to leave the place but i don't know what was left in their minds, were they thinking that I'm a ghost, a pretty looking witch or maybe they were just thinking that I'm a liar ?. I was just thinking and i didn't really know what was stuck in their brains.

Slim was my best pow, but at this stage i didn't think that he will ever talk to me again.

I was walking alone in the street going back home . I was upset with the argument i had with slims family. If they were talking the truth that they met someone looking like me , who could that be ? , i had to find out but i hard no idea about where to start doing that. The situation was funny but harder to think of.

Lunch time was near, i had to make it home before they sat for the food or else i would receive a bunch of questions as an interview to get me to the food.

I was lucky i made it before the table battle, Reen was still cooking and i didn't know what made her late. I went straight to the kitchen and found reen working on something delicious.

The kitchen was full of a beautiful smell and my hungry nostrils were exaggerating the smell.

"I swear to God you are good at making food small way more better " i said while smiling at chef Reen.

"Ah you are just hungry " she replied almost laughing.

I helped her transport the food to the table for the first time since i was born and everybody was confused.

Although i was seem to be happy but i wasn't, my brain was full of questions. "He was wearing the same clothes as yours" i was still thinking about those strange words.

"Lone , Reen and me , get prepared tomorrow we are going to the farm house either you like it or not" Dad said.

Me and Reen looked at each other we both hated the farm house. There was no electricity , no friends and even a neighbor, it even gets creepy at night, nobody would love to sleep there.

"But Dad what about Dan?" Reen complained.

"What about Dan?, mh, Dan will stay here with mom" Dad answered proudly as if he was saying something great.

Dan looked at Reen angrily, it seems like he wanted to ask her why she was mentioning him.

"Will we sleep there ?" I asked.

"I will decide when we gets there" Dad said and left the table because he knew that he was going to answer alot of questions.

Both of them left the table except me and Reen, we were upset about the trip to the farm house, we all hated that place. 

     

  

"Where will you go this afternoon? " Reen asked.

"To the library" i said while moving away from the table. 

I asked her if she wanted to go with me but she said no, she was just asking. Actually she was not a fan of books and she was too lazy at reading even the school staff's.

I went to the library all alone, i didn't invite even a single friend. I met the librarian i usually met most of the times, Mr Franklin.

Mr Franklin was so friendly, he would make you laugh all day with his funny folktales. 

"Welcome little boy, follow me here i should show you the new books" he said heading to the libraries VIP.

He took me to a corridor full of new books, all the books were new in that corridor and i had so much pleasure on them.

I didn't know which one to pick because they were all promising to be good. I could pick 5 or more if it was allowed.

"I will spend my boring time here" i said to myself. I picked a J. R. R Tolkien new book called the strange girl then i sat comfortably to enjoy the ride.

The library was so quiet and they were not much people in, maybe they didn't know that new books have come.

After a short time of serious reading, i noticed someone moving in front of me but i wasn't hearing footsteps . I flied my eyes to the front and i saw a shadow disappearing at the same moment. I closed the book and then i tried to stood up but my legs were afraid of standing up. At that time i was feeling lazy and scared.

"It was just someone looking for books" i said to myself trying to chase the fear feeling away.

I sat down and continued reading where i stopped. Suddenly i heard a book falling from the shelf in the next corridor.

" Mr Franklin!!" I yelled but there was no response.

 I had to go and do a check up. I stoop up slowly and then i started creeping to the next corridor. I found the book laying down, i picked it up and placed it where it belonged.

I moved back to my seat but something happened to the book i was reading, I didn't find it the way i left it , it was misplaced.

I opened the page i was reading and i found out a note saying that "I'm coming after you", the note made me more scared than i have never been.

"Who is coming after me?" I wondered.

I left the book where i took it and i started going out of the library.

Just as i was going out, another new librarian stopped me but he was not Mr Franklin, Franklin's shift was over.

Hold on right there kid, i just saw you getting out very soon but i didn't see you getting in here again, how did that happen?" The librarian asked, his eyes curiosly studying me like I was carrying a bomb in my stomach.

"You saw me getting out, no! I didn't get out since i came in this is my first time, you saw someone not me" i said but he didn't seem to believe me at all, his eyes were still on me, he couldn't even excuse himself with a blink.

"No kid you can't lie to  me, i saw you getting out first and then few minutes later you are coming out again? , just tell me how is this possible" he said and grabbed my hand."did you get in through the window?".

"Let go me you freak! " i screamed as i was getting my hand off him, I opened the exit door and shut it harder, i run down the street back home, i wasn't understanding everything that was happening to me and i had a bunch of questions in my small head. Everything that had been happening since I found out that my watch was not understandable, it was so much for my retarded brain to keep examining the strange things

I made it home and i found Reen watching the tv, i did not talk to her i just went straight to my room and locked the door. 

I took the "I'm coming after you note and chewed it then i spitted at the window.

"Lone , why did you come back so quickly, what happened out there?" Reen yelled from the sitting room.

"Nothing happened, I'm good i just wanna get some rest" i yelled back.

Reen knew something bad was happening tome, but she wasn't sure about it . my sister Lone was the only one who we understood each other in the family. But I couldn't tell him what was going on lately, and if I did confided to her, she would  never believe me, she would thought I had started taking drugs like our stoner- big brother Dan
