God's Game Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

“I couldn’t find any other books that mention anything about the Fire God.” I slid my fingers closer, then stopped. My hand hovered over it. Maybe I should wait for the King to open it. I glanced sideways at him. He wasn’t smiling. Right now, his mouth was set, sharper than his eyes. “So,” I said, because silence was worse. “This book takes us where, exactly?” Jaxon looked at me for a long second before he shook his head and answered. “The Fire God’s territory.” My throat tightened. “Is it another planet?” I asked, pursing my lips.

“Always.” Her hand lifted weakly, resting against my cheek. “Then don’t let me go this time.” I pressed my forehead to hers, whispering, “Never.” The world around us was still burning, the horizon split by smoke and crimson light. But for the first time, the fire didn’t scare me. It felt like her. Like home. And as her light pulsed softly against my chest, I realized—this wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of something far worse. Because the god she was meant to awaken… was already stirring.

The carefully crafted game board on the wailing man’s chest was full, revealing that crosses had won. “It appears I have won.” The being chuckled, slowly turning towards the psychopathic lord. “Ah, Darkous. How nice of you to join us, care for a game?” The psychopathic lord chuckled, taking a step towards his comrade. “I believe we can create a better game, Dorian.”

I could not believe the arrogant Dave was about to play the game too. Tala shrugged of the thought of Dave embarrassing her as she joined us. I sat quietly... I was suppose to leave, what am I still doing here? "You! Tala pointed at me..is your turn." And i swear, my heart skipped. I looked at Kelly immediately and she nodded at me. Oh heavens! Help me not to fall into the wrong number. With a shaking hand, I picked one of the paper after Tala explained the game a little to the "C boys". It was 7 papers that were yet to be picked after i took mine.

“You are the bride of a god.” Her breath caught. “Bride… of a god?” Her fingers tightened around the ring. “What bride? What God” She has never met any God let alone to consent to any marriage. Wait he couldn’t possibly mean his bride right? She gasped as it dawned on her she was referring to himself. So he is a God? Ivana stood there confused as several thoughts flooded her mind. “Yes, mortal.” His eyes bore into her. “And being bound to you…” His jaw clenched. “Only deepens my hatred for humans.”

It feels like I was pushing a huge rock and didn’t make it to move. Anubis smiled in a sinister way. His eyes stare back at me with his black orbs’ pupils. “This isn’t funny for telling me you are meeting some God. Isn’t that insulting?” “What? —” My voice trailed off, “What are you talking about? Why do you keep talking about a God?” I tried to hide anything that he can tell I know a God. But when I think more of it, his name, and his aura. It isn’t just right like a human. “Are you a God?”

Bubbles nuzzles my ribs once more, then curls on my chest as though guarding the one piece of me she can save. The chamber grows quiet, but not peaceful. The Game is waiting to break and when it does, Nyxara won’t be the only god who bleeds.

Alessia had been roaming around the earth for the past three days, walking in different places that seemed familiar but not recognisable. She couldn't even remember anything about what had happened in the past. Surprisingly, she found herself in a large compound that had several luxurious cars assembled. She looked up to see a very large building and judging from the inscriptions on it, it was obviously a church. Her legs moved on their own and she found herself, entering the building. There were echoes of music playing in the background and the preachings of the priest dominated the atmosphere.

It contained a single book. “Woah! This is crazy,” Roger whispered. Lazarus walked up to the book, it was in a glass protective casing. “You didn’t know this was here, did you?” Velma asked. “No, I didn’t,” he clarified. Lazarus inspected the book. “What is it?” Nigel demanded. “It’s so beautiful,” Clarke admired. Lazarus gulped when he realized what it was. “It’s the Book of The God’s.”

“I have received the remaining harmony from him and also cleared off my debts. I drop at his feet, no one can save me even if I scream and yell for help. I crawled back to my room waiting for my extinction. AN This is the first chapter of the book, please, don't judge me on my English, people make mistakes. Correct me with love and I will be thankful.
