God's Game Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

Gasping for breath, I tried to reach the door but my hand fell at my side with a thud. Help… "Adrian…" And just as I closed my eyes, not able to keep them open anymore, sounds of rustling and shouting outside reached my ears, soon followed the creaking of the door being opened. Warm hands secured my face in their grasp as I heard my name being called out with desperation. He came. He came for me. A gentle smile touched my lips. And then everything was dark. *** Fluttering my eyes open, I found myself wrapped around a pair of strong arms and a heady scent I knew very well.

I drift off to sleep on the plane on the way back to Texas, only to awaken after having a very vivid dream or maybe I should say fantasy of Drake. I pour myself a drink and try to relax. I decided to change clothes and freshen up, just in case Drake met me at the airfield. Silly how I have to remind myself this is all just a game. I catch myself wanting him, wanting to please him, wanting to give myself to him. I have to remember that I want to hurt him, make him regret how he treated me. Lila, my wolf also reacts to Drake so strongly I constantly have to reign in. I continue to sip the burning alcohol that I am drinking, my excitement continues to grow at the thought of seeing Drake. Blakeney yelled. Oliver slowly opened his eyes and flinched as he saw his body engulfed in blue flames. He stared at his hands as if seeing them for the first time. The god within James took over again. “Use all of your anger, descendant of Hephaestus!” Authority dripped from every word. “Focus all of your being on your hands and force the fire to obey your will!” Oliver closed his eyes and breathed deeply, jaw clenched in concentration. The flame-covered hands began to tremble with exertion, but slowly the fire licked up from his feet, his legs, his stomach, and fused purposely on his chest and arms.

The first light of morning broke the horizon, pale and cold. Eli approached, exhausted but steady. “They’ve escalated.” “Yes,” Damian said. “And they’ve shown their hand.” “What do you mean?” “They made it personal.” He turned, eyes meeting Eli’s. “Chapter one of this game is over. The next move won’t be theirs.” Outside, thunder rolled one last time — distant now, but lingering. The storm had passed. But the war it carried with it had only just begun.

The regrets surged. I didn't flinch. --- When I opened my eyes, the sun was setting. Hours had passed. I was still standing. My face was wet with tears I didn't remember crying. My throat was raw. But I was still standing. Fenra watched me from the edge of the circle. Her three eyes were unreadable. "You didn't break." "I almost did." "Almost is not broken." She stepped into the circle and placed a hand on my shoulder. "You're ready. As ready as anyone can be to face a seven-hundred-year-old Null who wants to become a god."

Most of them are dead, and now… “I understand now. This is all a game to you. You challenged yourself, right? You’d prove I’m gay. Well, you did. Big win. Let’s put an end to this now. I’m tired of the hopes… The games… Let me go. I’ll find a way to pay you back for everything, but please. Just let me go. I can’t… I can’t play these games. Not anymore. “ ***** This Chapter Is dedicated to Brenda Skinner. Thanks for your commentttt. Correction made💕

My heart was failing but it was at those moments, I felt a strange peace within myself. This is what death feels like… it’s very lonely. "EVERYONE GET OUT FROM HERE— RUN!!!" Agreeing with me, everyone immediately turn and head towards the entrance. Except, Persia Silverlight. "Persia— what are you doing…!!?" "Noble's code section number one— protect humanity from all evil…!" She declared. Which, she took a card from her chest pocket. "Don't give me that now…!" I quickly ran to Persia. "Once you are dead— humanity ain't worth a shit to you anymore…!" "Kyaa…!?"

"You will remain here." The streets below were home only to ghosts and shadows now. The people were cowering in whatever safe haven they could find, whether it be the claustrophobic aisles of a department store or the dark back room of an office. Anywhere was better than the bubbling mire outside. The heat from the burning blood would not affect the deity who once walked in his own volcanic Eden. Nor did it affect the creatures he crafted but it certainly made their way more taxing. Isaac watched as a soft haze encapsulated the God's body and slowly, he began to fade, glowing translucent and glorious.
